Liv narrating: I swallowed hard when he said that. I was completely speechless. I looked at Ryder and Max, and noticed the devilish smile on their faces; clearly, they were having fun. "Liv, it's as simple as that: we can't accept your rejection. We've been waiting for this for two years," Ryder said after Callum. "I mean, we should have found our mate when we were 18. We had to wait until you turned 18, and now you want us to easily accept this rejection," Max added. I clenched my fist by my side. "What if I don't want this?" I said with difficulty. Max turned to his brothers, completely ignoring what I had said. "I think we started off on the wrong foot. We scared her at the beginning. We should start over," Max said. Callum and Ryder nodded, and then Ryder said: "You're right. We need to get to know her better. So, tell me, Liv, what do you like in bed?" Callum groaned in frustration. "You were the one who said we shouldn't scare her," Callum reminded him. "What? A little sexy talk doesn't hurt anyone," he pointed at me, still looking at Callum. "She's not a child, and it's going to happen anyway." "Yes, we'll have to mark her one day," Max got out of bed, coming towards me. "I mean, I'm willing, if you want to do it now." Callum stretched out his arms, stopping Max, and that gave me relief. "At least, we need to know what she likes," he continued. Then, he turned to me. "Going back to what we were saying: what do you like, Liv? Are you the sweet girl or the wild one? Do you like being choked, s*****d, tied up?" He paused, pointing to himself. "I, particularly, don't know the word when it comes to s*x. I need to make that very clear for clarity," he smiled proudly, crossing his arms. "So, tell me, what do you like?" I looked at the three of them, who were watching me anxiously for answers, and shook my head. "I don't know what I like," I replied, faltering. Callum laughed while Max narrowed his eyes. "Surely, you must have something you like." "Wait," Ryder said, evaluating me from head to toe. "You've had s*x before, haven't you, Liv?" My eyes darted between them. One thing I noticed was that Callum was waiting for my answer expectantly. "I don't even have a boyfriend yet, how..." "Oh my God," Max got lost. Callum was stunned, his eyes wide, which made him sit up straight in the chair. "That's the end of this conversation," he decreed. Ryder groaned. "Just because you don't like being gentle doesn't mean you can't be gentle enough to make a virgin cry until she can't take it anymore," he said, with a challenging smile. My eyes widened. They were doing it again: talking about me as if I wasn't there. "Come on, Ryder, we don't know where that wand of yours has been," Max retorted. "She needs something more..." Ryder cut Max off. "You're talking about me. And what the hell are you going to say about Mr. Playboy, who's slept with almost 15 girls in our school and keeps a record of it?" "Actually, 22, including that girl who refused to go out with me," he approached Max. "And, again, I was the one who made her say no to you." Callum smiled. Max laughed, staring at me, and then stopped. "Speaking of school, I think we need to transfer her to ours," he suggested. At that moment, my tongue, which had been tied until then, loosened. "What?!" Ryder agreed with Max, turning to me. "Yes, totally. As our mate." I shook my head. "First, you want me to meet your parents. Now, you want me to transfer to your school. By the way, who the hell is your mate? I, on the contrary, rejected you. And that's final." There was a brief silence. "But we don't accept your rejection. Do you understand how it works? If we don't accept it, then you won't have a second chance, mate," Max stated, firmly. "You'll keep running away from us. And, trust me, I won't back down." Just thinking about being with any of them made me feel nauseous. AfterEverything they did to me, I coট্রানি even imagine it. Callum said: "Yes, princess, you either want this or you want that," he added, fueling my anger even more. My blood boiled. "Then, understand this: I'd rather be without a mate forever than have any of you by my side!" I took a deep breath, trembling, as tears formed in my eyes. "The least you can do is apologize, instead of thinking of ways to f**k me." I swallowed the cry as tears streamed down, along with the pain that cut through my chest. "Let's go back to the old days, when you made me clean everything over and over again, claiming it was still dirty, when you called me names and made me feel useless." I looked at Max. "Or are you forgetting that time when you and Ryder chased me in the forest, with a gun, ready to end me?" "I wasn't going to really kill you, Liv," Max said, already getting up. "Yeah, Liv, we were just playing with you," Ryder said, after Max. "Well, I don't care!" I screamed, turning to Callum. "Mr. Nice Guy, are you forgetting the rule you created for me? Whenever I see you, I have to turn my face away. I haven't forgotten that!" Looking at all of them, I swallowed hard. "And that's what I'm going to do: look away. No matter how kind you are to me because of the mate bond, I'm going to turn my face away until you get tired of insisting and accept my damn rejection!" I was relieved to have said that; it felt like tons had been lifted off my back. "Have a good day!" I said, turning my back and slamming the door shut.
