Liv narrating: The first thing that woke me up the next day was a feeling of ecstasy. I sat up in bed, looking around the room I was in. It was a small room with almost nothing in it. It was cold too, but I couldn't complain to anyone since no one listens to an omega. Okay, enough omega talk. Finally, it was here! My 18th birthday. The day when my destiny would finally change and also the day I would meet my partner. With that motivation, I jumped out of bed. I didn't know exactly when I would meet my wolf or my partner, but the most important thing was that the day had finally arrived. Upon leaving my room, the first person I saw was Mrs. Yvenne coming towards me, with her usual scowling expression. Damn it! Just in time to ruin my mood. "Stop dawdling and go to the mansion to do your things. Do I need to repeat this to you all the time?" she said through clenched teeth. If only I told her it was my birthday, maybe she would leave me alone. I shook my head, already heading towards the mansion, which wasn't that far from the employees' quarters. Even so, I knew that even if I said it, she wouldn't care. My plan was to do my chores as quickly as possible, trying to avoid the three demons, especially Max and Ryder. I arrived at the kitchen and managed to start my routine: cleaning, cooking, washing the dishes, sweeping the floor countless times, and scrubbing the mansion floors. I worked so much that you would think I was the only maid there, but that wasn't true, as there were others. They preferred to leave all the work to me, as they felt that, being an omega, I should work much harder than any of them. At least, I was fed and not kicked out the moment I was born. That's what they always said. After cleaning the kitchen, I went to the trash, took it outside, and emptied it. While doing this, I heard a voice inside me: "Hello," the voice resonated. After looking around and seeing no one, my heart began to beat rapidly in my chest. The voice returned: "Liv, it's me, Anne, your wolf," she echoed. My heart skipped a beat with happiness. I was nervous, not knowing how to act. This euphoria didn't last long, as suddenly I felt a wave of energy pass through me. It was fast, increasing my adrenaline almost instantly. "You know how this happens, Liv. I need to be fully prepared to be like this." I knew what she meant. She was talking about transforming. Transforming for the first time could be painful, so I needed to find a comfortable place where I could scream and yell without attracting attention. Throwing the trash can on the ground, I ran to the forest, and, getting as far as my legs could take me, I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath. "I'm ready." "Okay, Liv, but be prepared. This is going to hurt," she warned me. The first thing I felt was the bones in my right leg breaking. A scream escaped my lips as I fell to the ground. For the other wolves, before transforming, they were given some potions to help with the pain, but, since I was an omega and had no one to ask for this, I had to endure it. Sweat ran down my legs as my hands trembled on the ground. I heard another cracking sound coming from my other leg and screamed even louder, grinding my teeth and cursing. Blood ran down my body, mixed with sweat. My hands also cracked, and, while I was still screaming through all this, my legs began to grow fur. Soon, on my fingers, claws grew, tearing my skin like a blade. The more blood ran from the wounds, the more I screamed. "Damn... stop!" I screamed, to no one in particular. The more I cried, the more I transformed, and then I realized that, once it had started, I had to wait for it to pass before the pain ended. As in the first transformation, the second hand also grew claws. When I couldn't take it anymore, I fell to the ground, trembling with pain that ran through my entire body. Until, finally, it stopped. My wolf shook herself, cleaning the blood from her brown fur. She had taken control, and I was inside. "Sorry, but this is how it has to be." Suddenly, I forgot the pain I felt minutes before, and my thoughts filled with excitement. I felt that burst of energy inside me. I wanted to explore this new body, but I didn't know how. "If you want to run or jump, just do it like you do in human form," Anne told me. "Wow, how do you know what I'm thinking?" I asked. "I am you and you are me. We are one person. That's why you can talk to me through your mind. If you want to run, just do it like you would in your human form. This body may be different, but it's still yours." As she had said, I moved the first limb, and it worked. In no time, I was running through the woods like crazy. I knew my wolf wasn't as fast as the others, as I was an omega by birth, but it still seemed fast enough—faster than my human feet. I spent the whole day learning everything about my wolf: how to climb trees, jump high, everything. She had to be the first person I could call my real friend. Everything continued until night came, and I knew I had to transform back. "There's only one thing we need to do, Liv," she whispered, as I looked at the mansion. "Find our partner," she completed. I didn't know how that could be possible, but I was going to try. I began to have doubts as I walked back to the mansion. What if my partner wasn't even there? The Darkmoon pack was big, and there was a chance my partner was there, but I still had my doubts. I passed through the same hallway where I met Callum the night before. It was then that an unknown, overwhelming scent hit my nose. It was two different scents, and both were attractive. The aromas were strong and intoxicating at the same time. "That's our partner. We need to find him!" my wolf shouted desperately. I stopped to think. Was it possible for my partner to have two scents? Before I could give an answer, I heard the sound of shuffling footsteps coming from the other side of the hallway. The heavier the footsteps got closer, the stronger the scents became. I took a deep breath. It had to be my partner, but the sound of the footsteps sounded more like more than one person. I stood where I was, with my feet firmly on the ground, nervous, waiting for the person—hoping it was someone good. The footsteps got even closer. Then, I spotted two figures running out into the hallway, and, looking at them from head to toe, my heart sank. They were responsible for the scent, the intoxicating scent, the damned scent! Max and Ryder were looking at me with darkened green eyes, full of lust, looking like they were going to devour me right then and there. "No, no, no!" I kept muttering to myself, until my wolf decided to shake up my world by saying one word. "Partner!" she whispered and then shouted, "Partners!" What the hell! I turned to run, but before I could, everything suddenly went dark. The power had been cut off. This had never happened before. Why now, when I'm trying to run away from them? I stood where I was, trying my best to see in the dark and get out of there. I tried to see in the dark, but, since they had Alpha blood, seeing in the dark wasn't a problem for them. I thought I was doing well, escaping, but then I bumped into someone in the darkness. I was grabbed by the waist and pinned against the wall. "Partner," a voice growled. It was Max, and he was holding my waist. "Mine," said Ryder, and I felt his hand digging into my thigh.
