Liv narrating:
STOP.
STOP.
STOP!
Since I turned 15, that had been my most used word. It marked the beginning of my suffering when the Alpha's triplet sons returned from training camp.
They were my three worst nightmares: Max, Ryder, and Callum.
Max had striking emerald green eyes and messy black hair that fell naturally over his forehead, giving him an irresistible bad-boy charm. In addition to the tattoos on his arms and neck area.
Ryder also had seductive emerald green eyes, like Max, a strong jawline, a perfectly sculpted face, and a slightly rugged charm.
Although Callum had green eyes like the others, his hair was brown—unlike them. There was one word that could describe him: universal playboy.
He was calm and reserved, but that didn't mean he liked me either. He would stand by, watching his brothers do the most horrible things to me, sometimes smiling with amusement, even though he didn't participate in any of their actions.
They were all stunning, tall, with perfectly sculpted bodies. They were all 20 years old and would be future Alphas.
Despite their attractive appearance, they were the worst things that had ever happened to me.
Max and Ryder decided to take it upon themselves to make my life a living hell.
They spent their free time making sure to make me suffer every hour and always enjoyed the countless ways they found to do so.
Callum, on the other hand, didn't have time for me. He was reserved and distant, but that didn't mean he liked me either.
They weren't the only ones making my life a living hell. In fact, all the pack members hated me. Being an omega was like a death sentence since the day I was born. Not just for being an omega, but for being the only omega in the pack.
Since my mother died, leaving me in this cruel world, I have been struggling. The screams, punishments, and stigmas were bearable, but everything got even worse when the three devils entered my life.
I was 17 years old, and the next day would be my 18th birthday. That meant all the pain and suffering would end when I found my soulmate, who would protect me from everything.
I had been daydreaming about my soulmate since I was 13 years old.
A knight in shining armor, handsome, breathtaking, someone who would make me feel like a princess and take away all my sorrows.
And the most exciting part of the next day was that it was heat period for the males in the pack, so I knew things were going to get a little crazy.
It was a period when soulmates desperately yearned for each other. The idea of that and how exciting it could be made me anxious.
But, for now, I had to endure.
And there I was, running through the woods as fast as my legs could carry me, breathing heavily, not thinking about stopping—because I knew what would happen if I stopped.
"You better run, because if we catch you, you know what's going to happen, Liv!" I heard the distant growl behind me, and my heart skipped a beat.
This was their new game. Before they did something to me, they always gave me a warning, to make the 'fun' even greater for them.
They always said:
"You know the rules, Liv. You have 5 minutes to run and hide. Make sure you get as far away as possible, because if we catch you, things are going to get really rough."
My legs were starting to fail. I knew they were going to catch me, like they always did. I needed to think fast.
I looked back and saw Ryder running towards me, with something in his hands, which looked like a…
My eyes widened.
A gun!
My heart was pounding in my chest. I was sure that since they were future Alphas of the pack, if they killed an omega, no one would question them.
Since running was no longer an option, the only alternative was to hide. I ran to a tree in front of me, and the only idea that came to mind was to hide in it.
It was difficult to climb, but the adrenaline rush propelled me. I managed, hooking myself onto one of the huge branches, hoping they wouldn't find me.
From where I was, I watched Ryder run towards the tree with the gun, and Max right behind him.
"Where did she go? She was right here!" Max shouted, passing Ryder and the tree. Ryder did the same.
I rested my hands on my chest, breathing a sigh of relief, but I realized I wasn't so lucky when they started running back towards me.
"Her omega scent is all over the place here," Ryder said, and my heart skipped a beat.
"She's here, for sure." He started sniffing the air. Then, he smiled.
"Liv, you're getting really good at this, aren't you?" Max said, pulling the gun from Ryder.
"Come out now, or we'll look for ourselves, and you don't want that to happen, do you?" Ryder's tone came out deadly and demanding.
My breathing quickened, and my whole body was trembling, because I knew it wouldn't be long before they saw me, and things were going to end very badly for me.
Max, who seemed to be searching the area with the gun, suddenly stopped. My heart sank when he looked abruptly at the tree, exactly where I was.
The only thing covering my position was a branch.
"The b***h is up there," he growled, with a devilish smile on his face.
Ryder ran to the other side, where there was no branch hiding me, and called out:
"She really is getting better, Max."
"Please." I said, looking at Ryder and Max, waiting to see who would attack first. Even though Max had the gun, Ryder could easily transform and get me out of there in the blink of an eye.
Max walked to where Ryder was, and then, his green eyes staring at us, he smiled.
"So, brother, tell me: which leg are we going to hit first?" he asked Ryder, pointing the gun in my direction.
