Lying on a bed in the cold room of the hospital, his eyes were closed. A white band was tied on the forehead. That smiling face was cold as ice till now. A white shawl was draped up to his neck.
An oxygen mask was attached to his mouth. His existence was still but he was not dead.
A large man was standing nearby, looking at his white face. Today he went to meet his beloved in a white dress but he was not patient. He had very quickly reached the stage of love where he could not be patient. He accepted to die. He was afraid of separation. A werewolf shouldn’t have to be so weak, should they?
Why was he in a hurry? What if he waits for some time? But he could not do it.
"If you trusted me, I would have brought her to you. A girl became so important that you turned his back on a life like heaven." He touched his face slightly. His eyes were getting moist but he was a man, he could not even cry.
"Suicide? For the sake of a girl? Just for a girl?" This was a deep shock. When he wanted to touch the strip of his forehead with fingers, one tear after another kept falling. His heart was bursting with pain. He couldn't see him anymore; this thought was driving him crazy. But he was not a weak man. He can’t mourn like a weak man. He cleaned his face and went out with the same coldness.
Time passed and the night spread out. It was semi-dark in this luxurious smoking room and he was engrossed in his thoughts, carefully watching the smoke of the cigar.
There was an ashtray filled with bottles of wine on the elegant glass table in front of him, and a packet of cigars, a file with a red cover. The lighter was in his hand, which he sometimes burns and sometimes extinguishes. He took a puff of the cigar and then saw the flame rising from the lighter. This was the work he had been doing for about an hour. His white color was turning red and the veins of the temple were clear.
He took another puff and put the rest of the cigar in the ashtray.
In the semi-darkness, a strange horror could be clearly seen on his face.
"How could you do that? How can you do this, Enzo? You didn't even think about me." His lips moved slowly. There was coldness in the heavy voice.
He lit the lighter once. This time he burned the file.
His horrified eyes were fixed on it. When it burned down in a few minutes, he took it out of the cigar packet and applied it to his lips. Leaning back, he lit his cigar and then the same job started again.
Thoughtful lines were formed on his face.
Who was she who dared to reject Enzo? Was she not aware of what she was doing? Did she flirt with him? Was she a daughter of his enemy?
There were questions on his mind.
“I won’t let go of that girl, I promise. She has to suffer a lot. She has to die. But her death would not be easy for her.” He whispered in a cold voice.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
“Come in.” He ordered, and a girl entered, bowing her head.
“Marshal is here. He wants to meet you. If you want to rest……..”
“Let him come.” He cut her sentence and ordered. Restless was visible on his face. She bowed and returned. A moment later, Marshal was in front of him.
“Tell me, did you find something?” As he said this, Marshal nodded.
“Alpha, we investigate from every student. They said that he liked a girl but he never expressed it to anyone. He never talks about it. He just met her once or twice. No one knew what the girl did to him when he took this extreme step.” He was listening superficially.
“I want you to know about that girl and you are telling me a love story of my brother?” He roared in a heavy voice and the man in front trembled.
“Alpha, we found a picture of that girl in his wallet.” Marshal could barely control his trembling voice. He put the picture on the table.
“She is a daughter of…..”
“I don’t need her bio data. Go and kill that girl, take her dead body and cut it into pieces.” He ordered in a cruel voice.
‘Get out.’ He ordered, and the Marshal obeyed. He barely controlled himself and got up. He opened the door of the dressing room and picked up the paintboard. The room was almost dark. He had a picture taken with his hands.
Who knew that he was madly in love with this picture? It was just a painting, a masterpiece of his hands.
“Daphne.” He whispered. He never cares about anyone except two people. One had gone so far that he couldn’t even see him again. But he can still protect his love. He promised himself that he would soon take his mate into his shelter. He would never hurt her, nor let her go anywhere. He was becoming obsessive about his mate without knowing that he was going to lose her, with his own hands.
The skill of his fingers on the painting board near the glass wall was smiling with love and the picture on the table was lamenting its worthlessness which he had not even touched. If he did, he surely would have lost his senses.
