Alpha Connor finished his day's work and stepped towards Enzo's room. He was going to see his brother for the first time since that day, when he was carried like a corpse into the palace.
He could not see him again. If he had seen him, he would have destroyed the whole state. He would have destroyed the place where Enzo's blood had flowed and where he had gotten to this point. He barely controls himself.
He was shocked when he entered the room; Riana was standing in his room, meaning she was true to her promise. Alpha didn't show it but it was true that his heart was filled with satisfaction to find Riana there.
He stepped into Enzo's bedroom, stopped next to him and took one look at Enzo's face. Around his bed was a pile of soft lights, his face looked a little weak but he felt healthy and at a glance it seemed as if he was sleeping peacefully. But there were white stripes on his forehead, which were red in the middle.
"It is indeed true that the special physician saved Prince Enzo with great efforts. If I show you something, maybe you will understand what I am saying,” Riana said as she leaned over Prince Enzo, lifting his face and exposing his neck to Alpha. He froze in place, looking at his neck.
There was a slight gash on his neck, like a crack in a statue. Blood streaks were visible from this crack. Alpha’s eyes were still. He understood the meaning, but once again. He did not want to understand.
"Of course you know when this wound forms on a werewolf's neck. It appears when they don't want to live by themselves, when they happily give themselves to the embrace of death.” At the words of Riana, he closed his eyes with awe. Who brought Enzo to this point?
A normal and very low profile girl. How did she have such courage? He was burning with hatred again.
"And the doctor told me that the wound was almost all over the neck before, and only a finger's length was left. That means, if the right place like this finger had been affected by this wound, then Prince Enzo's neck would have been separated. His wound was blocked and is now being reduced. You can check it.” Alpha bent down and saw the sign.
The wound had now healed. It was a sign of happiness, it was a very happy thing, but he stuck to the place where the wound remained.
He could not feel happiness, he was suffering from this grief. What if his wound was not prevented from growing? Then Enzo's neck would be split.
A deep hatred for this girl was spreading inside him, more and more intense every day.
"But there is also a special aspect to that..." Riana was about to say something else when he suddenly got up and left. Riana stopped.
She turned to look at Enzo and bit her lip. She wanted to tell him that this wound could also be caused when a neck was forced apart, but she didn't know why her heart kept stopping at this second option.
Perhaps an enemy of Alpha wanted to take advantage of this opportunity. Or maybe someone was trying to take out the caste animosity of Prince Enzo. There was something they didn’t know.
~Time skip
Alpha Connor was standing in the open enclosure of his palace in a state of great anger. He called all the warriors to him. His face was red with anger, the veins were strained. The warriors had still failed to return and now stood with their heads bowed in shame.
"May I take it that this different girl is being supported here? You were the warriors who defeated great powers in wars and now here you guys fail to find an invalid and, least of all, a little girl. So I must accept that you all owe allegiance to the Diffen family?” He yelled furiously. The entire palace was filled with strange terror at his thunderous roar. Maids put their hands on their ears trembling with fear.
The warriors in front were frozen with fear but did not have the courage to answer.
“Take off their necks. Distribute the blood coming out of their existence among all the servant vampires of this state.” He ordered in great anger.
Was it an order or a declaration of honor? A strange panic spread everywhere. All the executioners of the palace started gathering there. There was chaos everywhere. The families of the soldiers came running and fell on their knees before Alpha and begged for mercy. There were shouts and cries due to their pleas.
Loyal warriors bowed to his command and stood silent as if they had failed. So they are entitled to punishment and this is the best decision.
Alpha Connor, flapping his distinctive royal gown, ignoring them and began to turn away mercilessly, but stopped.
He looked at the warriors and the furrows on his forehead deepened. Bazzel was not among them.
"My message didn't reach Bazzel, or he decided to rebel." At Alpha’s cold pointed question, a soldier stepped forward and politely put one knee on the ground.
"Bazzel went to the eastern mountain range of the empire two days ago in search of that killer and has not returned yet," he replied respectfully.
The king's lips pursed tightly. He immediately sent a message to Bazzel through mind link.
"Come back right now, Bazzel, otherwise the whole kingdom will see the spectacle of your death." His cold words and boring voice made the existence of Bazzel startled. He took a step back in a panic and ran towards the palace at lightning speed.
