I suddenly felt that my whole face is burning because of what Lucas asked Jane. I may have seen him before, but I'm certainly not one of his fans if there is.
But I couldn't say anything. I can't open my mouth to deny his allegations. He's so proud of himself, and I cannot believe it. I can feel the smiles between his friends and their stares towards me. They maybe think that what Lucas said was right.
"No," Jane finally replied. "You are so full of yourself, Luke. I just want to introduce her to you since you have a lot of friends."
I sighed in relief with what she said. But when I turned myself to Jane, she was looking at me with a questioning look.
"Are you?" she quietly asked me. I immediately shook my head at that.
Because I am really not. But I think that she might not believe me because of how I react to certain things when in reality, I'm just awkward and shy. I didn't have a lot of friends, so I really don't know how to react to it.
"Okay, I believe you" she pulled my arm again, and we went away from Lucas and his friends. "I will just introduce you to some of my friends then."
Monday after the party, I woke up late and tired. Since we have no school uniforms, I just decided to wear a black tank top covered with a gray hoodie and black pants. I also paired it with a Stan Smith shoes to complete my outfit.
"Hey, Joanna," I heard a familiar masculine voice from my back.
I turned to who it was, and it turned out to be Lucas. He was holding a cup of coffee from Starbucks, but it seems unopened. We are still outside the building where I heard his voice.
"I'm sorry for the way that I acted last Friday night" he offered me the coffee that he was holding while he was giving an assuring smile.
I don't want to be rude so I accepted the coffee, I also needed one.
But as I was reaching for the coffee. A group of people with skateboards quickly passed by causing to spill the coffee on my hoodie.
"Ouch!" I said because the coffee was hot.
"You need to remove your hoodie right now" he suggested.
I noticed many stares from other people but I still removed my hoodie because the coffee was so hot to tolerate.
