Talia’s POV I heaved a sigh of relief as Lorenzo walked out of the study as soon as he got a call requesting his presence back at the office. I hadn’t realized that I’d been holding my breath until the door closed behind him. My luck was going to run out someday, I knew that now. He has come close on several occasions but he had never been this close and for a moment, I felt like I was going to break down and tell him the truth—I nearly had until I froze with fear.
