Talia’s POV The words were too heavy for my mouth to spill and I could only watch in tears as Lorenzo walked out of the prison room, leaving me alone with the darkness and the other prisoners for company. The place was silent except for the occasional screaming I could hear. There was this feeling of despair and resignation that hung in the air and I was starting to feel it in my bones too.
