Lorenzo’s POV
There was a lot of frenzy going on in the house. This potentially had the effect of being the biggest war I’ve ever been in and I wanted to make sure that I was ready.
John would be waiting for me with his allies and I didn’t want to go to the designated location with only a handful of men because there would be no way I would make it out of there alive.
“Your plan,” Matteo began, staring at me. “Is it going to change the trajectory of this war?”
“I can only hope it does,” I replied. “We have to give this our best shot, otherwise we’ll fade into history without leaving our mark on anything. It would be as good as dying.”
“So what’s this whole plan about?” Matteo cleared his throat, drawing my attention to himself. “And how do we go about it?”
