The ringing noise continued until we reached the back wall with that tubing system again. I watched as Cicero reached out and tapped to the tube. Whether he was pressing some button that I couldn't see or was simply touching the tube, I don't know, but as soon as he did that the noise stopped. The tube opened and several objects wrapped in a scarf plopped into the large basket.
"It only rings if the library registers one of us is here. If we’re not here then it just drops the items into the basket." He said by way of explanation as he reached in and grabbed scarf and whatever was in it. He then made a motion with his chin back towards the front the library. "I don't know what's in here so we might as well dump it out on one of the tables so we don't risk losing anything."
