Then there was a jolt and it felt as if the world around me shimmered and melted away. I was looking at two young men, they couldn't have been older than 16. The two of them looked so similar they could've been related, and yet there was something about them that told me they weren’t. It wasn't a tangible thing. It was just something I somehow knew watching them. The two of them were sitting on the edge of a parking lot, they were sitting on one of those raised concrete rectangles that sat at the edge of parking spaces so that people didn't fall off the edge.
