"Hey Kenneth," I said warily as I stuck my head through the doorway to his office from the break room.
I could tell from the break room that he was jittery and full of energy, something I wasn't used to from my laid-back ex-roommate. The only times he got that jittery was right before he got the loan for this place and before he was going to ask out a girl he really liked.
He looked up at me and smiled a little bigger than seemed appropriate. "Hey Erin, good to see you. I'm happy that you came in. I wasn't entirely sure whether you were going to come in or not."
