Kenneth got to my house a little after nine. Not that I was looking at my phone the entire time anxiously waiting for what was sure to be a tense exchange between me and the closest thing I had to a best friend. This time when the library announced someone was at the door it was the sound of a red alert from Star Trek. It was drastically more panic inducing than the birds had been. As Cicero and I headed back up the stairs I paused and turned to the library with a smile.
"If I had to choose between the two I think the birds are a little less startling. But I appreciate the effort."
In one offend the library. Since I had no idea what it was capable of, but I didn't need a panic attack every time someone was at the door.
