Chapter 14Frye woke, surprised to feel warmth along his back. He turned over and saw Markle there, his body pressed up against Frye. Frye hadn’t woken up when Markle climbed into his bed. That was odd. Even odder was the bright light coming in through the curtained window. It was late. They should have been on the road by now. “Markle,” Frye said, gently laying his hand on Markle’s shoulder. “We need to get moving. The sun’s already up.” Markle’s eyes slowly fluttered open.
