It was the next day at work and Darry really didn't want to be there. He was ready for his 2 weeks to be up, so he could be out of there and find something new. His writing career was really starting to take off, and people wanted to hire him for all sorts of things. There was a company called Star Newspaper that offered him a position writing some columns for their paper. The pay wasn't as good as what he was making with the realty company, but it wasn't bad. Darry was ready to get away from Alice and he didn't care what he had to do to get away.
