CARNIVAL FOR THE CHOSEN ONE

The next day after their adventure, Jolt shows up to class very early same as Aila who was reading multiple textbooks that she stole from where they were. Jolt sat on a chair beside her and they began to think about what to do next.

"I was reading all these textbooks yesterday, GOBTU is a f****d up place." Aila says disappointed.

"Yeah sorry you had to figure it out like that." Jolt says swiftly she was ready to get out of this place and find Zach.

"One thing I don't seem to understand is why a god lives inside you, it's not explained in the books took." Aila says confused, Lau shows up to class wondering why Aila didn't wake him up for school.

"You're both here early, you didn't bother to wake him up today?" Lau says confused if he pissed her off yesterday.

"Nothing, you were busy sleeping peacefully and I didn't want to disturb you." Aila lies and quickly dismisses him to talk with Jolt, Lau felt offended but doesn't say anything then goes to sit on a chair in front of Aila.

"Did you find anything in that textbook about where they could be keeping my friend the one I told you about yesterday night?" Jolt says quietly so Lau couldn't hear them.

"Oh yeah........ I don't know a lot yet but I was reading on this place where these group of scientists always experimented on humans to give them powers if your friend isn't dead then he's prob there." Aila says as she opens to the page where she read it, they were hurrying up cause it was almost time for class.

"Where is this place?" Jolt says boldly.

"I'm still catching up on it........... I just can't believe that my home that I thought was perfect is actually a terrible place and only Xom knows what they're planning to do with you. I feel like I should tell Lau what we're doing?" Aila says feeling some kind of guilt not telling her childhood friend what was going on, the duplicate quickly shows up in front of Jolt.

"You can't let her tell the King son, that could lead you on trouble!" The duplicate yells at the top it's voice then vanishes, it looked so scary this time it had mist coming out of it's body which frightened Jolt.

"You can't tell the King son what if he tells his Dad?" Jolt says swiftly.

"You don't know Lau he isn't like that, he doesn't even like his father." Aila quickly tells her but Jolt refused to listen.

"I don't want to take the risk." Jolt says swiftly, Aila sighs then nods Jolt was making sense and Aila didn't want to sabotage their plans they both stop talking after seeing Igna arriving to class but instead of going to her sit she comes to confront Jolt.

"I'll like to challenge in another fight, if you have no problem with it." Igna says menacingly, Jolt has been working on her ego and temper so she responds calmly.

"I don't have time for that, I'm busy." Jolt says gently then faces Aila who was smiling, Igna angrily walks to her chair and their teacher finally shows up.

"Before we start, Jolt after the class you're to meet the General for some sparring." He says swiftly, Jolt heart immediately started beating fast Aila stares at her awkwardly they feared he knew that they went to that place.

At a theater both Kura and Jolt are sitting on chairs preparing to audition to join the circus they've been here two days earlier but the line was way to long that they had to come back later.

"Are you sure I can do this?" Kura says doubting her abilities.

"Yeah just focus and do as we practiced yesterday." Tony says to her then grabs both her hands assuring that everything was going to be fine, the coordinator sluggishly calls out their name which they titled as "The light twins." To come out and perform, the lady that was holding the auditions had been doing this for days and hasn't been impressed with anything she has seen. Kura and Tony slowly get to the center of the stage.

"If what you're going to do is anything mediocre then don't bother, I've seen enough of it." The lady says disappointed by most of the performance, most people that came didn't actually want to perform for the circus they just wanted to get to the castle. Tony nods to the positive assuring her that what they were about to do was something special and out of the world, he stands in front of Kura waiting for her to do whatever they planned.

"I got this." Kura says to herself quietly then rubs her hand quickly and stretches both, her eyes began to glow and a wave of light suddenly surrounds both of them it was like a ball of fire so bright that the coordinator couldn't look at it with her eyes, Tony on the other hand was inside the light and sweating heavily he had to use his hand to cover his eyes Kura should have stopped the light by now but for some reason didn't Tony couldn't stay here for any longer his clothes began to burn as the light was getting stronger and coming closer to him.

"Kura!" Tony yells at the top of his voice this knocked Kura back to reality and she quickly stops the light vanishes, he stares at her wondering why she didn't stop the light in time but she looked confused too there was no time to talk with her about it cause the coordinator got up looking surprised they couldn't tell if she wanted them to join them or not.

"Where did both of you learn that from?" The woman says astonished.

"It's a twin thing." Tony says swiftly, Kura ran to stay beside him.

"I've not seen something like that since I started holding auditions, welcome to the circus people just be a little bit more careful with that power of yours." The lady says excitedly, Tony jumps in excitement then hugs Kura forgetting about what had happened but it still disturbed Kura that she could have almost killed him.

Jolt on the other hand was with Ze'l about to have a sparring with him, he wanted to see how far she has been taught but she was scared of him and not interacting like usual.

"So how is school?" Ze'l says as he wore bandages around his arms.

"Fine!" Jolt says briefly she wanted to tell him more but was afraid of who this man was, he felt she was acting strange but didn't want to say anything.

"What can you do now?" He says briefly too he felt Jolt wanted to keep it professional today so he honoured it.

"Well I've mostly been learning hand to hand combat but I discovered that I have teleportation now." Jolt says gently Ze'l was a bit disappointed expecting her to have learnt more.

"Moving between shadows okay and that's all?" Ze'l says in his time within the very first hour of school they would have learnt multiple moves.

"It's been like what....... Four says, I'm still trying to learn." Jolt claps back she wasn't going to allow anyone discourage her of how hard she has been working especially Ze'l.

"A god lives inside you, you're capable of more you can heal, fly, create shadows, turn the world itself into darkness and so much more Jolt." Ze'l says with a very creepy voice as he moves around the sparring room slowly.

"I learnt telekinesis but it stopped working." Jolt says gently looking at her hands, Ze'l gently moves behind her.

"That's because you're powering it wrong, bring out your darkest emotions whenever you want to do it but this time I'll help you power it." Ze'l says then touches her shoulder like the other time, Jolt quickly felt emptied inside not feeling loved by anybody her eyes begin to glow and she stretches her hands, a wave of powerful telekinetic force lashes out from her body blowing up all the punching bags in front of her Ze'l quickly let's go of his hold on her.

"How?" Jolt says swiftly she had never felt such negative emotions in her life.

"Just let go of your emotions, some people power themselves through emotions while people like us let the darkness take over it makes us stronger.................. You remind me of myself Jolt, when I was little I was scared to reach my full potential but with the help of my brother I got it and it's been amazing for me." Ze'l says to her softly, Jolt wanted to pour out her anger to him about Zach, Tony, her family and so much more but she just couldn't tell if he was a good or terrible person.

"This festival that's being held for me next week........... I know I'm not allowed to leave my room but can I come?" Jolt quickly changed the conversation also she was tired of being couped up in that room.

"You know we can't do that sorry." Ze'l says briefly.

"You know I could just teleport and blow our cover............... Please, I'm going to wear some type of mask and only the royals know my identity, I just want to look around the city." Jolt pleads Ze'l didn't like the idea he understood her wanting to leave the room but he knew something was going to go wrong about it.

"Shouldn't we start trusting each other?" Jolt says with a smirk knowing she got him, he chuckles then nods

"It's not up to me I'll have to discuss with the King.............. So if we're able to accomplish it then you'll stay at the premises where I, the King and other royals will stay." Ze'l says gently after rethinking that it wouldn't be a bad idea if he was there with her, Jolt nods.

That same day, Aila is in her room going through multiple textbooks but wasn't able to find the direct location of where they were experimenting on people she heard footsteps and quickly hid the books in her wardrobe, sat down and pretended like everything was normal. Lau walks into the room upset.

"Where were you?" Lau says to her with a very rude tone.

"I don't get, what's happening?" Aila says softly everything she had planned for the week had to change since she discovered the secrets of GOBTU.

"Lunch with my Dad, you promised to come and you didn't it was miserable." Lau says sadly, Aila quickly remembered but didn't know what to say.

"Did you see something when we went to the library, I feel like you're not telling me the truth." Lau tells her softly then lays on the bed he had to be on his best behavior for his dad.

"I told you we saw nothing, the only reason I and Jolt were talking today was because she discovered some weird s**t with her powers." Aila quickly came up with a lie she really wanted to tell him what was going on but didn't want her cover blown.

"If there's anything just know you can tell me, no secrets Aila." Lau says gently, she was the only one he had ever trusted, he and his siblings don't like each other and his mum wasn't always there for him.

"Why wouldn't I? Now tell me about the lunch." Aila chuckles and Lau quickly began to recap how terrible everything went for him.

The next day in school, Jolt got to her sit and was about to tell Aila about the good news that she could finally attend the carnival but Aila quickly shuts her down.

"Listen I don't have much time Lau will be back from where he went to pee, as I was going through the textbooks yesterday I noticed that they were some missing pages so we're going to go back to the chamber this night same time as like last time and look for anything that we can find, okay?" Aila says swiftly before Lau came and start getting suspicious again, Jolt just nods to the positive understanding why Aila wasn't talking to her.

Ze'l was dinning with the King and Jen as he talked about bringing Jolt to the carnival the King didn't see any problem with it as long as she was guarded.

"And you're sure about this Ze'l?" The King says gently as he ate a full chicken with a fork.

"Very, she'll be with us throughout the whole event I'm pretty sure everything is going to be fine plus her powers are growing I fear locking her up will have some consequences." Ze'l says in favour of Jolt, Jen also agreed to it. Ze'l began to cough constantly, he winks to the King who understood what he wanted to do so he sends Jen out of the room.

"Jen, why don't you get me my drugs in my room just remembered that I haven't taken it." The King says swiftly, Jen rushes out of the dinner room to get it Ze'l quickly brings out a antidote in a small bottle from hit pocket and rushes it inside his mouth.

"You're still using this potion?" the King says mockingly as he laughs by the way Ze'l used it.

"Well I still need to stay alive and you've still not let Jen go?" Ze'l claps back, the King winks at him and Ze'l shakes his head in disappointment.

That night Jolt was luckily able to teleport to the library right at the Dark section, she had been waiting for Aila to show up for over thirty minutes and thought maybe she should go inside the Chambers by herself but luckily Aila quickly meets up with her.

"What took your time?" Jolt says swiftly.

"I had to wait for Lau to snooze off then I had to use my illusion powers to distract the guards." Aila says quickly, she looked like a mess after spending all her time reading on the history of GOBTU.

"You have illusion powers?" Jolt says excitedly.

"Yeah thought I told you." Aila says she was quite secretive, Jolt wondered what was going on with her.

"Are you fine?" Jolt says concerned, Aila lets out a heavy sigh what she had read today was quite terrible.

"All my life I was told that GOBTU was a perfect Kingdom, how we were betrayed............... But I now I have to like come to the conclusion that my people have done terrible things, they slaughtered children, r***d women did so much more and they were proud about it." Aila says, she doesn't always tell people how she felt except Lau but now she couldn't even say anything to him or anybody but only Jolt.

Arriving at the Chambers, they were a lot of papers of textbooks on a table it was soo much that Aila couldn't go through it alone so her and Jolt sat down on the floor and began to go through each and every paper until they could find where they could be keeping Zach. A hour later Aila finds something.

"Found it!" Aila says excitedly, Jolt quickly moves closer to her and Aila reads it out to her.

It says "this was where we gave people there powers." That's funny I think I know where this place is, I've seen it quite often." Aila says as she looks at the picture of the building thinking of where it was and it quickly comes to her head.

"Yeah I remember now! It's a building beside the military base I thought it was just meant for work for the soldiers but it might not be." Aila says confused, Jolt quickly grabs the paper then focuses on the picture trying to teleport them their but Aila takes it back from her.

"What are you trying to do?" Aila says swiftly.

"Taking us there so we can get Zach out of there." Jolt says boldly hoping Zach was there and alive.

"No you won't, the military base is heavily guarded plus in this same paper it says only the general, few army members and the King have the key to open the cells." Aila says sadly as she read the paper hoping she could find anything that could help them.

"I think firstly we have to find a way to get in, your powers can possibly break the cells I mean a god lives inside you but how do we get in?" Aila brainstorms thinking of multiple ways they could break in, Ze'l spent most of his hours at the military base so it would be more difficult for them.

"What about next week during that carnival? I know I'm coming, won't some of the soldiers be there too?" Jolt says quickly, Aila nods she had no idea if the guards won't be there but she was sure the numbers will be reduced.

"That's a good idea........................" Aila couldn't finish what she was saying cause they heard footsteps slowly approaching them, they both began to panic it was over for them but they quickly hide in the shadows. Arriving at the Chambers is Ze'l both girls were wondering what he came to do and praying that they weren't found, he looks around for a minute but wasn't bothered about people following him cause that hadn't happened in years he moves closer to the plates that had bloods in them and began to drink each little by little in a very creepy manner.

The next week the carnival finally began, it was a moment that was celebrated everywhere not just in the Capital but in towns and local villages they all believed that whoever had that God inside her was going to unite worlds, bring peace to everyone and they could grow as people back in the days when the gods were around everyone lived equally, no separation between the rich and poor it was perfect for everyone and they all wished this will make it happen again. Kura and Tony were in the boot of a carrier as they approached the royal surrounding.

"Do you think Jolt will help us?" Tony whispered quietly to Kura, they're plan was that they'll find Jolt hopefully she'll help them get Zach back and if she wished to stay she can.

"I guess but I'm sure of one thing she isn't going to call guards to get take us away she'll help us out." Kura says then gulps hoping for the best.

At the Royal surroundings a lot is going on, canopies were everywhere, guards around the place, lot of playful things to do it looked just like a park some of the masses mostly teenagers were invited to have fun and experience something special. Jolt, Aila, Lau, Ze'l, Igna, Jen, the King and his families were all sitting at the balcony of the royal house looking at everyone.

"I need to get some drinks." Aila says seeing this as a opportunity to leave.

"Why don't some of the guards get you one?" Jen quickly says but Aila refuses saying she wanted to walk around.

"I'll like to follow." Jolt says gently, Ze'l stares at her he had stated multiple rules to her earlier before they got here.

"I mean it's my celebration, I just want to look around the place, I've some fun." Jolt pleads, the King was okay with it he looked around and saw multiple guards watching so he didn't see anyway that she could escape.

"You can't go Jolt." Ze'l says briefly but the King quickly objects.

"Let the little girl go, there's no way she's escaping we're at the Royal surroundings. Lau follow them too you can't just be standing there." The King says arrogantly, Ze'l wanted to oppose to it but he didn't want to look like the bad guy there so the three head off the only problem is that Jolt and Aila didn't plan for Lau to follow them. The three walk around the carnival greeting different kids Aila spots a man selling juice.

"I'll go get the juice." Aila says swiftly Lau follows her from behind but she stops him.

"I can get a juice by myself Lau."Aila says she wasn't planning to head there so she needed Lau out of the way, he was shocked that's she'll says something like that and was disappointed.

"What's wrong with her?" Lau says to himself forgetting that Jolt was beside him.

"What do you mean?" Kura says gently.

"She's just been acting a little bit strange." Lau says rudely then turns around feeling Jolt was the reason Aila avoided him.

Aila on the other hand got the juice but instead of going back to join them she meets up with a soldier who knew she was.

"Daughter of Ms Jen, what are you doing walking around here?" The male soldier stood in her way, they were all given orders to not let the important kids leave the premises.

"I know but I was hoping someone would take me around the military base today?" Aila says swiftly the soldier felt honoured but couldn't.

"Today? That can't work out most of the soldiers are out celebrating this beautiful event." He tells her sadly he wished to do it but was duty, Aila nods gleefully and runs along to catch up with Jolt who was right that most of the soldiers won't be on duty today.

The circus team finally arrived at the Castle surrounding, there was a small hole that people in the boot could look through and Tony had been looking through it since they got there.

"Come on." Tony says quietly to himself but as luck will have it he spots Jolt walking around with Aila and Lau, he yells in excitement everyone looked at him thinking what was going on so he toned his voice down and updated Kura about it.

"I've seen her, she's fine I guess all we have to do is reach her." Tony says excitedly they were one step closer to getting Zach back, Kura looks at her hands scared that they might be asked to perform and she would have to use her powers which might hurt Tony.

Igna father arrives at the balcony to meet up with the King who was disappointed by how late he was, Igna rolls her eyes as he showed up.

"Where have you been Archix?" He King says as he drank a cup of wine, Archix stutters but later gives a proper reply.

"I had to handle some important issues your highness." Archix says swiftly, he sat on a chair beside his daughter and quickly grabbed a bottle of wine he wanted to have been doing other important things but had to be here to honour the King.

"Where's this special girl?" Archix says loudly that was the only thing he saw as a advantage to be here for, Ze'l never liked him found him to be quite arrogant like most royals.

"She's coming, by the way I'm your special girl." Igna says quietly to her dad, he didn't even greet her but first thing he asked was about Jolt. Igna got jealous that Jolt was getting a lot of attention firstly a carnival and now her dad is more interested about her.

Jolt and Aila walk towards the balcony together while Lau was behind them wondering why they were whispering to each other, he felt so lonely.

"There she is." Igna says to her Dad who majestically walks towards her.

"You're the girl hmm, what special things are you capable of?" Archix says swiftly he was astonished about a whole god living inside a teenage girl, Jolt was confused about who he was but Igna stood up to explain.

"That's my father and I told you Dad she isn't that special, remember when I beat you up Jolt?" Igna says it loudly so everyone could hear and she could get the attention which she did, the King who had a childlike attitude sometimes wanted to see how this will end but Ze'l had a bad feeling.

"Yeah, I don't want to do this with you today." Jolt says swiftly she had better things to worry about but Igna stood in her way.

"Or you're just scared that I'll whoop your ass." Igna says with a smirk, she looked at her dad and he was impressed with the way she confronted Jolt and she went on.

"Yeah you do whatever you want to do just stay away from me." Jolt says swiftly but instead of walking away Igna with all her energy pushes Jolt to the floor. This awakened a lot of dark emotions inside Jolt after everything she had been through and she also didn't like Igna so the darkness took over her and she slowly stood up with her eyes glowing Ze'l could sense it taking over her and before he could do anything Jolt had already used her telekinesis to hold Igna down and throw her around the balcony like a dummy. Everyone was yelling for Jolt to stop cause they feared if they touched her she was going to hurt them after hitting her around for awhile Jolt floats her in the air then hits her head really hard on a wall which knocks Igna out immediately after this Jolt took control over her body everyone stayed away from her scared.

"Uhh........" Jolt couldn't finish what she wanted to say cause she looks at Igna fainted body this was the second time she attempted to kill someone, she quickly runs away from the balcony Aila who felt bad ran after her Ze'l and Lau wanted to follow but the King quickly stops them.

"Leave them, let her have some girl moment with Jolt." The King says shocked, Archix and some guards left the balcony with a fainted Igna.

Outside of the castle, Tony and Kura are trusted to take some of the materials needed for the event this night they are leaded there by a guard Tony was extremely shocked by how big this place looked while back in the village they had to do with the little they had.

"Are you ready for today?" Tony whispers to her as they walked.

"To be honest I'm not sure." Kura says sadly, she still had constant vision about the mist. After walking for awhile they arrived at a huge dinning and they both began to set props in front.

"Both of you should stay here, I'll be back soon." The soldier tells them loudly the runs off to attend to some of the workers, Tony wanted to know what scared Kura cause he was definitely fine after everything that had happened but the most sudden thing happens when Jolt barges into the dinning room with a tearful eye and Aila following her from behind she was absolutely shocked to see Tony and Kura she even thought she was seeing things but it was actually them, Tony and Kura look at each other awkwardly wondering what to say.

In a room filled with blood stains, body parts, guns, handcuffs, broken chairs, metal staffs and so many dangerous objects Zach is laying on the floor fighting to stay alive, his body parts had been broken, bloods scars were all over his face and he had wounds that would be there for life.

"I need............." Zach was trying to breathe he felt so much pain and slowly he knocks off.
