My ears were ringing. Opening my eyes, I jumped up. My mouth was like desert sand and my throat hurt. I could still feel the man’s hands on my throat. Where am I? This room was a motel but am I here? The white sheets appeared to be beige, and the holes looked like animals used it as teething rings. The air conditioner on the side of the window was loud and clunking, filtering stinky air through the room.
