Colter's POV
When I took Alexa up to our room so she could lie down and she started crying. I couldn't leave her, not until she was asleep. I had a pile of paperwork to go through. I was still trying to sort out merging her pack with ours. I also had to get the same done on her father's pack. He has offered to help but when he came here he officially retired and so I didn't want to make him do it.
After she fell asleep I gently got out from under her and headed back to my office. I got there and went back to my paperwork and had been at it for a while when she mind-linked me asking where I was. I could tell that she was crying.
That's when all hell broke loose. She thinks I don't want her, which is so far from the truth. She ran from me and fell in the bathroom and broke her wrist. I f
