Julian’s POV
I had had doctors coming and going since Nicki had been unconscious. When Alexa had come in to see her, I wasn’t sure what she was going to do but when she dropped the bombshell of her having a spell placed on her. There was nothing I could do but wait now. I just hoped that when she did wake up, she would be ok.
I felt bad for not going and helping on this first mission, but I couldn’t leave Nicki’s side right now. She needed me and I needed her to be ok. It was late and everyone had left a few hours ago, so I crawled into bed and pulled Nicki to me and just held her. At some point, I fell asleep holding her.
