The sound of the shower went on and Jenna figured that there was no need to look even remotely attractive so she went and changed her clothes to become more comfortable. She wiped the makeup off her face and sadly looked at herself in the mirror.
She had flashbacks to when she was at home and guarded so she never had the chance to go any farther with a man other than kissing and an awkward hand on her boob. Before anything else could happen, her father's guards were there to prevent her from losing her virginity.
But it was possible that she would have s*x with Karson and looking at her phone, she saw that he had left a text message. So would this next friday be too soon to ask for a second date? Jenna smiled and felt the butterflies in her tummy at the idea of going out again. She genuinely had a great time with him and it was a plus that he was cute.
She exited her room to grab a cold drink before answering him and then took a seat on the couch with a bottle of water. She was about ready to text him back when a naked-save for the towel that was miserably wrapped around his lean waist- Cade walked right past her to grab his bag.
"What the heck?" Jenna asked moving her face away from him. Who did that in front of people and especially when they had a very nice body like he did. The man's body was definitely made to do naughty things and a gift from the gods. He turned to look at her as if he didn't know that she was sitting right there and he didn't look too bothered. "I forgot my stuff. You act like you haven't seen a naked man before." He said undoing his towel as soon as Jenna turned herself fully around. "Cade!" She yelled.
He laughed at her and then said, "I'm decent. Chill out." When she slowly turned to look at him, he had on very accentuating briefs on that she tried not to stare at the obvious bulge. "C'mon, put some damn clothes on." She told him. He put sweatpants on and then a t-shirt.
"Why are you acting so modest?" He asked her as he grabbed the bottle that she had grabbed from earlier and took a swig of the liquid. "I just don't see naked people too often." She whispered more to herself than to him but he said, "Don't tell me that you're a virgin. It's one thing to not kiss often, but another to never have been with a man. What is the farthest that you have ever gone?" He asked her and Jenna wasn't sure if she felt comfortable to answer.
"None of your business." She told him and he narrowed his eyes at her. "Don't tell me. That makes a lot of sense." He said as he watched her with a knowing look on his face. "What is that supposed to mean?" Jenna asked.
"Well, your experience level. How was making out with your date?" He asked her and Jenna felt her face warm. "It was great thank you very much."
Cade sat on the other side of the couch as he said, "Better than my kiss?"
Jenna wasn't sure how to answer him without feeding his ego so she didn't reply. It was like he was so sure of himself that he knew his kiss had an odd effect on her that she wasn't sure whether or not if she wanted to find out.
"I can give you a refresher and you can tell me." He said as he moved closer to her on the couch and as tempted as Jenna was to explore untouched territory, something in her went off. "I can't." She told him and he moved closer to her on the couch. "And why is that?" He asked.
"Cause-cause you're my neighbor and I don't want it to be awkward." She told him truthfully. It was half the truth but she didn't know how she would react or feel afterwards. If she was ready to lose her virginity, she would prefer it be with someone who was willing to make sure that she would be okay in the end. Who knew, maybe Karson was someone who might want to stick around.
"That's a lame excuse but, I can't argue with you there." He said as he leaned back on his side of the couch. They both sat in silence for a minute before Jenna looked to him, "Wait- why are you still here?"
He shrugged his shoulders at her and seemed to get comfy as he said, "You're not going to kick me out when I'm in need are you?" Jenna rolled her eyes at him and then got up to move. "You better not do any funny business or I will kick you out at the first sign of a disturbance." He nodded to her as he drank more water.
"Goodnight." She said to him before she got up to go to bed without giving so much as a glance back to him.

Jenna thought she had heard a thud but figured it may have been Cade sneaking around at night. He might have been accustomed to his own place and ran into her couch. She turned in bed and felt herself go back to sleep. All she could think of was how she had a grown man in the other room and they haven't done anything when they had the freedom to do so.

The next morning, Jenna had woken to the smell of food. Something she haven't smelled in a long time when she had been home. For a second she wondered if everything that she had gone through in the past two months had been a dream but she remembered that the room that she was currently residing in was her new home.
Sitting up, she wiped at her face as she let the smell of food permeate in the air before crawling out of bed. The smell came from her kitchen and she followed the smell as she found Cade in her tiny kitchen making what she could see was food. "What are you making?" She asked him as she grabbed a mug to make herself some coffee.
"Omelet and something else with whatever ingredients I could find." He said as he turned to look at her with his glasses on. His beard was growing again and Jenna wondered if he ever planned on shaving it off his face. "I do owe you food." He said as he grabbed a dish.
"Well make that two more food favors and we should be even. Smells good." She said as she started her coffee. He took a piece of the omelet and fed it to her and Jenna could moan from the taste of breakfast. It was good despite her not being used to the type of home cooking.
Cade watched her from behind his glasses and he smirked. "You like?" He asked as he swatted her away from taking another bite. She nodded and he answered, "Almost done."

Cade had offered to drive her to work and she accepted as she looked at the time. She didn't know what vehicle he drove and was surprised to see him driving a black BMW. The interior was nice and had the clean car smell to it. "What is it that you do?" She asked him realizing that she knew nothing about this hot neighbor of hers.
"I am a bouncer for a club some nights and the other I do programming from home." He said and Jenna nodded her head. She didn't take him for an office worker but she could see the bouncer part. He could be intimidating if he wanted to. "Do you like it?" She asked and he nodded. "So what made you want to move out here?" He asked her and Jenna had to think about how she wanted to answer him. "Just try something new. Home was getting too boring and restricted." She said.
He agreed with her as he nodded and drove her straight to the diner. "Well, thank you! I appreciate it." She told him as he dropped her off. He did his mock salute and then said, "I can pick you up if you want. I don't work until later tonight."
Jenna shook her head at him, "You really don't have to, I can just take the bus home. I don't want to intrude in your work." She told him and he shook his head at her in response, "Here is my number, just call me when you're done." And with that he left her alone in the parking lot where she had walked up to the diner to start her shift.
Lonnie was smiling at her as soon as she entered and Jenna didn't say anything as she asked, "So, was that your hot date?"
Jenna shook her head furiously as she said, " Oh no, that is my neighbor. He gave me a ride after he slept the night." At Lonnie's confused face she had explained what had conspired the night before. She had a look of understanding on her face as she realized something. "So your neighbor likes you and our usual customer as well?"
"I don't think my neighbor really likes me. I think I am just another person that he can add to his list. He's not exactly boyfriend material and I think Karson is." She told Lonnie who smiled. "Oh what it is like to be young again!" She commented as she walked away to help one of the regulars.
Jenna wasn't sure if she knew what Lonnie was referring to, but there was no way that Cade was into her like how she would believe that he might pretend to be. He was her neighbor after all and she believed that he wouldn't jeopardize them sleeping together just to scratch an itch. Or would he?
