Justine continues the tour and tells me that the staff only comes in if I call for help with something. There is a housekeeper who comes in on Tuesday and Friday and a chef I can buzz up if I get hungry. That intrigues me. I would love to talk shop and get back into cooking. I’m eager to try after seeing everything in the kitchen. Learning new techniques and recipes will be a blast in that galley. Making our way to the bedrooms, my things are unpacked and hanging. I feel so spoiled seeing my clothes next to Justine’s. My shoes are on the same turn table. It’s like a dream. “Lola, tomorrow I have to go into the office. But Damien will be staying to keep you company,” she says while I change for bed. “I’m sure he has work to do. I should be fine on my own,” I offer not to be a burden.
