Chapter six

Liam, Lisa, Sophia and Raphael go to the house of Lockwood. Lisa feels quite uncomfortable about this but decides not to spit it out. "Mum, dad, we're home... anyone home?" Lisa asks as she drops her bag on the couch in the sitting room as Lilian comes from the kitchen to greet the kids. "Woah...my kids are back from school, how's the lecture today?" Lilian asks with a bright smile. "Hello Sophia and Raphael?"

"Hello ma, how are you doing?" Sophia asks with a smile as Lilian returns the question with a wonderful smile.

"Cool...what about dad?" Liam asks.

" Oh, he was called this morning about an urgent case. "Come in and sit." Lilian offers the kids a seat to feel comfortable. "I'll be right back," she added.

"Urgent case...as how?" Sophia asks in curiosity.

"I wonder what's up again," Raphael says.

" Okay guys, here you go... "I especially prepared this for you guys, so enjoy yourself." Lilian comes out with a tray of chocolate cookies and puts them on the table. " So how are the lectures? "She asks.

"Fine mum... wonderful"Lisa nods as she replies with chocolate cookies filling her mouth, which she barely speaks.

" Why's dad in urgent need today? Any clue?"she added.

"Well...he told me something came up at your school, so his attention was needed... didn't you guys see him not long ago he left?" Lilian says.

"No, we didn't,"Raphael answers. "Maybe we didn't look properly I guess,"he added.

"Mum has a seat with us, we need to have a serious conversation here," Liam says as he scoffs. Lilian knows fully well that it's about the issue of werewolves, and she has made up her mind. If the kids ask her, she will tell them because they are already of age, and they need to know what's up ahead of them.

"Well...if you say so..." Lilian sits next to Lisa and Sophia as she clears her throat. "So what is it that you want to know?"she asks.

"Mum...the thing is that we want to know our background...our origin...we want to know if we're from the park of wolves or not," Lisa says as she munches the cookies in her mouth slowly.

"Ma...please tell us the truth. "I'm sure dad didn't want you to tell them, but please let them know what they want to face...I can start by introducing myself and my brother to you so you can know which park we also belong to." Sophia says with a persuasive tone.

"Hmmm...the primordial wolf..." Lilian says to herself but was heard by the kids.

"What do you mean?" Liam asks.

"The primordial wolf is the highest wolf that is most feared among the wolf parks, including the alpha..." Lilian clears her throat as she continues. "Okay...the family of Parker inherited the trail of the primordial wolf...they are the second in command of the highest authority. "The thing is that, one of the descendants of the Parkers would be offered as the ruling King or Queen in the park but now that your father has two kids it will be hard for one of you to get the throne of the primordial wolf power." Lilian says to Raphael and Sophia.

"I don't understand...my brother is the eldest, so he will be given the throne of course," Sophia says as others nod in agreement.

"You don't get it, do you? I mean, if the power didn't go to your brother, then it would take the lead, and it would cause chaos. I'm the park, not only yours, but the entire parks of werewolves...see listen to me...your dad won't choose for you but you guys will make the decision yourselves...if it doesn't help that way, you will have to either find a flower that has never existed in the evil forest or go to the heachhouck." Lilian concluded.

They all sigh in shock and look down at the floor as if they're examining the way it's been made. Until Lisa decides to break the silence.

"So you're telling us that they will make the decision themselves and any decisions made will be approved?" Lisa asks.

"Yes... I think so if your park hasn't undergone another new law yet. "Same goes to you both," Lilian says, pointing at Liam and Lisa.

"Mum...how do you know much about werewolves...are you part of them or just studying?" Liam asks in curiosity. Lilian looks at the kids in shock as she quickly gives her answer to avoid suspicious things about her even though she is one of the parks.

" No...no...no not at all... "I learned it from my dad. "He tells me the stories, but I thought it was just a myth, but it seems real though," she says.

"Hmmm...is that so? "You know much more about the werewolves than people that are the werewolves themselves", Raphael says in curiosity to know more.

"Yes, because I also studied it back then...when I met your dad he told me the same thing, so that's how I'm educated about these things," Lilian says, to stop all the unnecessary questions.

"Hmmmm... okay then, but how did dad know about these things?" Liam says to know more.

"Kids, you guys are asking so many questions... don't you have work to do?" Lilian says to stop all the questioning and be free from them. But unfortunately, they keep on asking questions, and she has not chosen but to give in to their request.

"Your dad knows many things about these werewolves because..."

"Because what?" Lisa asks to know, because she hates suspense.

"Because..." Lilian said as there was a knock at the door and Liam got up to open the door to see the distractor. It was their father, Mr Charles.

"Hey kid, you're back"he says with a smile.

"Yes dad, welcome back," Liam says in a cold voice as he goes away, and his father follows him to the living room where others were sitting.

"What did I miss guys?" Mr Charles says with a bright warning smile to welcome the family.

"Welcome sir", the kids greet him as he sits opposite his wife, Lilian.

"What are you guys discussing? Can you share?" he says.

"Well it's your kids that want to know about this werewolf stuff, now you're here to tell them," Lilian says.
