8 Glamping ‘You should have had your seatbelt on,’ Valerie said, waving at the three men as the van pulled away. ‘That was desperately embarrassing. Sometimes I think you’re thirty going on twelve.’ ‘I didn’t know a tractor was going to pull out.’ ‘This is Cornwall, Lucy. That’s all they do. Pull out, block roads, and drop muck everywhere. Come on, let’s go and find our lodgings so we can get our bearings before your whirlwind of a father arrives.’ Lucy had never considered her father to be a whirlwind, but the thought of finding a place to hide away for the next few days, or at least until she could find a way to escape back to Bristol and, ideally, out of the country, was appealing. ‘Where is it?’ Valerie held up a piece of paper. ‘Mark said this was it. Lansdowne Holiday Villas.’
