Grace woke to total silence. The absence of wind was startling, almost deafening after the storm of the previous night. For a moment, she couldn’t place where she was, couldn’t understand why she felt pinned in place. Then warmth registered—solid, heavy, unmistakably male warmth pressed against her back. Her breath caught. “Kaleb,” she whispered, her voice hoarse from sleep. He stirred with a low sound, a groggy hum that sent a tremor through her.
