I hid from others, both inside and outside the house, because of my scent. I didn’t want anyone to find out I was an Omega. If my parents knew, they would punish me badly. I didn’t want to upset my father, so I kept it a secret and followed all his rules.
They ignored my needs and never gave me anything I asked for. My dad would lie and say he’d buy it next time, but he never did. I pretended I didn’t notice. That was how I grew up. In a house without love. Full of hatred. They treated me like a burden.
Most of the time, they prevented me from eating with them at the dining table. They looked at me with disgust and didn’t care if I was sick or hurt.
If I died today, I bet they’d be happy. At least they’d have peace. It was time for me to take control of my life. But how? I had Darien, the one person who loved and supported me.
While I waited with my bags, a black car drove toward me. The headlights lit up my face. The car stopped.
Darien stepped out. My handsome Alpha. The love of my life. He ran and hugged me tightly. I held back my tears and smiled. I was happy to see him.
We stood there for a moment. Then he pulled back and held my face with both hands.
“Are you okay, my love?” he asked, worried.
“I’m okay, Darien,” I mumbled.
“Are you sure?” he asked again.
I nodded.
Darien looked around. He knew what went on. “They kicked you out?” he asked.
“Yes, they did,” I said with a small smile. “Can I stay with you for a while?”
“You don’t have to ask. You’re always welcome in my house, Rieka,” he said.
“Thank you,” I laughed. He kissed my cheek, then his face changed.
“What is it?” I asked, noticing something was off.
“Nothing. Let’s go home.”
Darien brought me to his beautiful house. He led me to the guest room and told me to sit on the bed.
“Sleep here. You look tired. We’ll talk in the morning, Rieka.”
He was about to leave when I grabbed his hand. “Thank you for everything,” I said with tears in my eyes. “I don’t know what I would have done without you. You saved me when everyone else threw me away.”
“Don’t worry, Rieka. I’ll always be here for you, my love.” He kissed my forehead. “Sleep well. Tomorrow is a new day. Tell me everything when you wake up.”
I nodded.
He helped me lie down and covered me with a warm blanket.
“Thank you,” I smiled.
“Should I sleep with you?” he asked.
I felt shy and said, “No, I’ll sleep alone, babe.”
He chuckled. “Alright, good night, love. Sweet dreams.”
“You too, Darien.” He closed the door gently.
I fell asleep quickly. I trusted him. Believed he loved me. I thought we could work things out. My life wasn’t over. I could start again—with him. He wouldn’t betray me like my family did. I hadn’t shifted yet, but I hoped that one day I’d hear my wolf’s voice and use my powers.
At least, that’s what I thought.
But I didn’t know… everything was about to fall apart. This was only the beginning of something dark. The world was about to turn against me—and I would be stuck in the middle of it all.
Hours later, I felt thirsty. I yawned and walked to the living room to get water.
What I saw shocked me.
“Ah! Ah! Haha! Darien, go faster!” a woman moaned. She was riding him like an animal.
Darien moaned and grabbed her breasts and her butt, helping her move up and down.
“You’re my everything, Darien,” she cried. “Let’s get married. My father will agree. I’ll give you a child.”
“Yeah, I want a child from you, baby. You’re so sexy. You make me feel so good." His hands grabbed her back. "She doesn’t even know how I feel. I’m horny all the time,” he said, thrusting faster. My heart shattered.
“She doesn’t deserve you,” she moaned.
“She doesn’t let me touch her.” He groaned, then finished inside her. “You’ll always be my one and only Luna.”
I wanted to die.
My body shook, and I accidentally hit a vase. It shattered and cut my foot. But I didn’t care. The pain in my heart got worse. Tears ran down my face. My body felt cold and numb. They turned to me, shocked. Darien looked scared. He didn’t expect me to see this. And the woman on top of him… was my sister.
Ylva.
“So, this is what you do,” I said, my voice breaking.
They were both dumbfounded.
“No, I can explain.”
“Shut up!” I screamed. “You have nothing to explain. You made your choice. I thought I could trust you. It’s only been hours since I lost my home, and here you are… sleeping with my sister.”
“Listen…”
“I hate you!"
“Cut it out,” he snapped. “I hate your tears. You cry too much. We’ve dated for years, and I haven’t even seen your body. You barely kissed me. I’m a man, an Alpha—I have needs! I’m tired of hearing about your problems. You never think about how I feel. You’re just a burden.”
I gasped.
“Yes, I said it. You’re a problem. That’s why they kicked you out. Now you come here to be a problem for me too? You don’t have a job. You can’t take care of yourself. Just get out.”
Was this really Darien?
I fell to the floor. “Why… why… why…?” I cried. “Why did you stay with me if I was nothing to you?”
“I only stayed to get close to your sister. She’s the one I love.”
“That’s right,” Ylva laughed. “He’s mine, Rieka.”
After that, I cut everyone off. I had nothing left. I became homeless, begging on the streets. That’s when Mike found me.
“Don’t worry. I can help you,” he said, holding an umbrella over me and letting the rain fall on him instead. “You don’t belong out here.”
His kind smile warmed my heart. “Here, take the umbrella. I won’t bite.”
That’s how we met. He became my best friend and a brotherly figure. Now, thinking about my past makes me sick.
~ Alpha’s POV.
Olcan yanked her hair, about to pull it out. Rieka clenched her teeth, full of anger. “Let me go!” she shouted so everyone could hear.
“I don’t know you. I don’t care what you want. Let me go!” She kicked Lyall in the face.
She tried to pass, but Lyall blocked her with a shield. The power hit her hard, making her fly in the air and spin. She quickly got back up.
Some of them chuckled.
“What was that for?” she shouted, saliva dripping from her mouth. “If you don’t let me go, I’ll tear you to pieces!” She screamed and held her arm, feeling horrible pain.
Her hand wouldn’t stop shaking. Her strength was fading.
