They tossed me aside like I was nothing, like I was a disease. I never imagined my family would go this far. I never thought they’d trade me away, especially to a man known for abusing others and using his alpha title to escape punishment.
Who would want to marry someone like that?
I used to think Alphas were all selfish and cruel, and when I arrived at the Black Stone Pack mansion. I was nervous. But the Alpha seemed nice. I thought maybe he was different.
I was wrong.
He shoved me onto the couch and started unbuckling his belt.
“What are you doing?” I asked, panicking. A wave of icy fear rushed through me.
“What do you think, baby cakes?” he smirked. “I’m having you. Don’t you get it?”
“I… I don’t understand. My father sent me to help you, not for this,” I said, trembling.
This couldn’t be real. I was going to give my virginity to some creep. This wasn’t the future I imagined, it was a nightmare. My father had tricked me.
“Oh, he didn’t tell you?” the Alpha laughed. “Your dad sold you to me. Said you were ‘fresh fruit.’”
“Fre—fresh fruit?” I whispered. “What does that even mean?”
“You really are dumb,” he sneered. “I thought you were just a little naïve, but this is even better. Your innocence makes it fun for me. I want you so badly.”
He reached for my clothes, and I screamed as loud as I could.
When he tried to cover my mouth, I drove my knee between his legs. He howled in pain. I didn’t wait. I ran. I didn’t care about my things. I just needed to get away.
Later, I faced my father.
“So this was your plan,” I said, shaking. “I hate you.”
“Hate me? That’s all you’re good at,” he snapped. “You can’t do anything else.”
“I can’t believe you’re my father. I wish you weren’t.”
“And I wish you weren’t my daughter,” he shot back. “You were a mistake.”
“I’m not marrying that pathetic Alpha,” I said through gritted teeth.
His voice turned to a roar. “If you don’t marry him, I’ll throw you out of this house! I won’t let you shame me or this pack!”
“Like you threw Damon out?”
“Don’t mention him. He’s dead to this family.”
“He’s dead to *you*, not to me,” I said. “And I’m leaving. I won’t marry that monster.”
“Then get out!” he shouted. “I’m done with your nonsense.”
“What did you just say?” I asked quietly.
“You’re not welcome here,” he growled and smashed his glass on the floor. I flinched.
I could still feel what the Alpha had tried to do to me. The memory clung to me like a shadow.
“Get out, Rieka. I never want to see you again. Marry him or leave,” my father barked, pointing at the door.
“You want me to be his slave? Sell myself just for your pride?” I cried. “You’d throw away your daughter for some Alpha?”
“Don’t call him ‘some Alpha,’” he snarled. “He’ll raise this clan higher than any before. You’re nothing but a stupid, useless Omega. Even if you marry him, your life’s still a waste.”
Tears fell down my cheeks. Ouch! That hurt.
“You really want me gone?” I asked, my voice shaking.
“Of course I do. I should’ve kicked you out long ago.”
“So it’s because I won’t marry him?”
“Yes. That’s why. You’re a disgrace,” he said, looking at me like I was garbage. I had no one. Nowhere to go. If they threw me out, I’d be completely alone.
“Please, Father,” I begged, falling to my knees. “Don’t do this to me.”
“If you’re not marrying that Alpha, then I’m not your father,” he kept shouting.
“Just listen,” I pleaded. His eyes were like ice, staring at me like I was dirt.
“Where would I go?” I whispered. “You’re all I have. I’m sorry for yelling. I was scared.”
But deep down, I knew. He meant every word.
“GET OUT!” Alpha Blizzard roared, pointing at the door again.
“You’re really kicking me out?” My voice cracked. My heart felt like it was breaking. I couldn’t believe what was happening.
“Yes. I regret the day you were born,” he said coldly. “You stink up the place. This house will be better without you. You’re nothing but a half-broken Omega.”
“Why do you hate me so much?” I cried. “What did I do wrong? You’re supposed to be my father.”
“Don’t call me that again,” he spat. “You’re the worst thing that ever happened to me. You have no value. I tried to fix it the best I could, by marrying you off. That was your only use.”
I stared at him in shock.
“You’re a curse,” he growled. “Other Alphas have strong heirs. And look at me, I got you.”
Then my mother walked into the room. I thought maybe she’d help me. But she looked at me like she was disgusted too.
“So you want me gone?” I asked her, still crying.
She stared at me and said coldly, “Rieka, it’s better if you leave.”
“Moth—”
“My name is Lupe,” she cut in. “I’m not your mother. I’m Luna Lupe of the Stark Pride Pack. Address me properly.”
My chest tightened. Was I ever really her daughter?
“You’re part of this too?” I asked, feeling dizzy.
She turned her back to me. “Yes. I gave you time. But time’s up. We can’t let you ruin this pack. Since you were born, we’ve lost respect. The other packs laugh at us. Just go.”
I collapsed to my knees again. “Please, Father… I’m your daughter.”
“You’re not my only child,” he said. “I have a proper heir. An Alpha son out there and your sister. He makes me proud, you never did.” He stepped closer, eyes full of rage. “You think I don’t see it? You’ve always been a curse. I prayed you’d die the day you were born.”
“Please,” I whispered. “Where will I go? I don’t belong anywhere.”
“I don’t care. Just leave.”
Then I heard another voice.
“She’s right,” my sister said. She stood there, arms crossed, smirking.
“You’re wasting our time, Rieka,” she mocked. “We all know you won’t survive out there. You’re just an Omega.”
She stepped closer, smiling cruelly.
“Omegas like you only survive by becoming some rich alpha’s mistress. Or by being a slut. Because when your heat comes, who’s going to satisfy you? Who’s going to f**k you when you’re desperate? If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll get sold as an Alpha’s slave. Or worse. You might end up dead.” She sneered. “It’s better if you just leave. Give us some space. Every day, my friends laugh at me because of you and your status. Saying maybe one day you’ll snap and kill us all. Good thing you don’t come outside.”
