“Go!” Jaxon barked, grabbing Aelina’s hand as they broke into a sprint down the service stairs, gunfire lighting up behind them. They didn't shoot back—right now the fight was between the police and whoever was attacking them. They tried to push through the panicked crowd that was trying to get away from the chaos, but they were only making matters worse by running around and making escape nearly impossible. Jaxon couldn't blame them. If he wasn't trained, he would be panicking too. But panicking would only get them killed.
