Chapter Five. “HIS d**k DISAPPEARED? Like... the whole thing?” Sharon’s eyes were so wide and round, she looked like an anime character. I frowned at her. “You look like you don’t believe me.” Which was just plain bad manners. What I was telling her was truly horrible. And if I was honest, rather traumatic. “No... I...” She put down her champagne flute, then suddenly slammed both hands over her mouth, her eyes bulging. “What? I don’t get...” I stared at her, my stomach twisting in pain. If she didn’t trust me to tell the truth, then she didn’t know anything about me. She snorted. Her eyes watering. “Are you laughing?” Sharon nodded, snuffling inelegantly like a pig with her hands over her mouth. I leaned back in the couch, clinging to the champagne flute that was still mostly full.
