There's a knock on the door while I'm finishing up. Maddie and I share a look then she reluctantly goes to answer it.
As soon as she sees who's on the other side of the door, her whole demeanour changes and the claws come out. "Oh hell no." Her hands go to her waist so I know she means business. "We talked about this. You can't see the bride before the wedding, it's bad luck. Not to mention, I spent almost two hours on her hair and makeup, and you're not going to mess it up."
I laugh at her whole Mama bear act. "Let him in, Mads!" I told her, deciding to put him out of his misery. Goddess knows he would've bulldozed the girl if I hadn't cut in.
She narrows her eyes at him and does the I'm watching you gesture which he bluntly ignores. He walks in and his eyes find P
