There was a white light above my head and distant beeping noises. The air smelt of bleach and antiseptic. I was in a hospital that much I could tell. I tried to open my eyes wider but a part of me wanted to just snuggle back in the covers. That wasn't possible, my stomach was rumbling as if it was a second away from eating itself.
I pushed myself off the bed with a huff, ignoring the dull aches all over my body.
