NATJAR
Leo was seen standing on a mountain, enjoying the view of the little province Natjar.
He wore a blue armless polo shirt and a black trousers, his hands dipped in his pocket, with his normal unhappy expression. His tangled hair and pinked lips, made him super handsome. It was as if his chiselled body was molded by the gods themselves, his hairs danced to the tone of the horizon.
LEO'S POVs
Unlike other kids I never had the chance to live a normal life, never even had the chance to love. My life is defined by my compulsory destiny, it has always been training and fighting, just to bring down a demon called Jerod.
He's responsible for everything, he made me be the stone hearted man I am today, I have to struggle to prove to everyone that I am worthy, when I know clearly that I am not, not even worthy to be the next skyhon not to mention being the King.
As much as I am loved by some, I am Also hated by my people. They always call me bad luck, and that's what I also think of myself. I'm Like a curse, like a regret, my birth alone brought chaos and destruction, it brought ruin and death. I don't even know my main purpose on earth, born to this cruel world with a great destiny to lead my people and bring them out of b*****e. How am I ever going to do that, when all I have is mum, Rarj, Liam and the whole of Natjar.
I'm not the type who shows the sign of fear, but deep down i'm scared, not of myself but of losing my mum, I've already lost a Dad who sacrificed his life to protect his family and his kingdom, can't let that happen to my mother. My mum, Rarj and the rest of the Humble landers who survived the great war built Natjar, it was named from the old humble landers tongue, meaning "Hope" and that hope is me.
I am the reason they all have hope of winning this war, I can't let them down, can't let my Dad down after he sacrificed his life. I'll have to do my best, I must, even if it'll take my life.
POVs ENDS
" Leo !". A voice called from behind, Leo frowned as he turned to see his best friend Liam, a tall handsome young man about 7'5ft tall, his red hair was like a massive red bush surrounding two wide, sea green eyes, freckles faintly dotted on his cheek but were only really visible in the sunshine.
He's Rarj's only child, he was just three when his mum died during the war, and he was also trained to be a wizard.
Ever since him and Leo have been the best of friends almost like brothers.
"What's it Liam?." Leo asked, sounding like he had been disturbed.
"Someone is here to see you." Liam replied.
"who?" Leo asked again.
Ten minutes later.
Leo and Liam were seen in a little house made of woods, Rarj and Beulah was sitted on a chair, and an unknown stranger was also seen standing opposite, looking at the window and back facing the room.
"What's the matter mum and who's he?" Leo asked arrogantly, trying to take a view of the man's face.
"He's an old friend" Beulah replied
"And what does he want?" he asked, still struggling to see the man's face properly.
Finally the man turned, revealing him to be Jonard, the assistant general commander of x-gard defence. He was wearing a white armor, and a sword fixed to his waist.
"My name is Jonard Jordan. I was the right hand man of the skyhon who was your Dad and our king. I always fought by his side, until Jerod attacked our land I had to pretend to be on his side to prepare myself to attack him when the little prince is ready, which is you.
And now I've won his trust and been made the assistant general commander of all x-gards warriors." Jonard explained himself.
"He's also here to see how prepared you are, Leo." Rarj added.
"Well I don't have time to prove myself to some stranger, my rage and strength are preserved for only one man and that's Jerod." Leo said proudly as he was going to leave the room.
"Wait!" Jonard called out, as Leo stopped and turned. " What?" he asked.
"I'm also here to give you some very important information." Jonard said.
"I'm listening," Leo said.
"The x-gardian warriors are increasing annually, and now has a total of 1.5 million men. Not just that Jerod has a new plan on conquering a new land called Bedazzle, he's already so powerful with his newly accomplished men, it will be impossible to stop him if he succeeds in overthrowning Bedazzle. We have to stop him sooner." Jonard reported.
" Oh no! that monster." Beulah caused.
" And how can we even stop him, Natjar's warriors are just a thousand." Rarj thought wisely.
"There's only one way" Leo said, as everyone in the room looked at him including Liam who stood and watched like a child being instructed not to interfere in adult conversion.
"We have to join forces with Bedazzle and attack X-gard unprepared just like the way they attacked us." Leo suggested.
"That's the most stupid decision you could ever think of son, Jerod has deadly technology made weapons that surpasses any human match, and Jerod has dark powers. And you expect to defeat the X-gardians with your swords and shields, that's really impossible." Jonard advised.
"No one asked for your suggestion here, and secondly I am not your son so just stay away. I don't care what you were to my Dad, just keep off, or I'll keep you off permanently." Leo warned, insulting the man despite their age difference.
"Leo, that's no way to talk to your elders, where's your manners?. Beulah said.
" my manners , they were lost a long time ago, when that monster killed my Dad and my people, my manners were lost, when I had to live a life of struggle and pain and you expect me to have manners for a stranger whom I know nothing of telling me to wait?, wait for Jerod to conquer another one, no mum not gonna happen, not while i'm still breathing. " Leo replied to his mum. now in an angry expression.
"Leo, he just wants to help." Beulah tried to convinced.
" Your mum is right, listen to Jonard, this is not the right time." Rarj added.
"Not the right time? when is the right time gonna be?, you always said that. There's no right time grandpa, it's left for us to make it right, besides you always told me to be brave at all times no matter the circumstance, why are you backing out now, why are all of you backing out?!" Leo spoked out in anger, he's really a short tempered guy.
"This is not bravery Leo, it's stupidity, you're letting your anger get the best of you.Your gonna get us killed even before the war started." Beulah said with a harsh tone.
"If all of you won't support me, then I am going alone." Leo decides.
"No one is going nowhere." Beulah ordered.
" You can't stop me mum, it's my decision. Leo spoked back.
as he was about to leave the room.
"Wait Leo" Jonard called him back.
"what now?" Leo asked.
" we're going to accept your decision only if you pass a trial that'll be given to you, to see if you're really ready to face Jerod. " Jonard suggested.
"what no! What are you doing? Jonard?" Beulah wondered.
" Just trust me, your Highness. " Jonard replied.
"So Leo , do you agree with me or not?"
Jonard asked.
" As long as my mum agrees with your plan then I am ready."
"Ok Beulah , just give your consent." Jonard requested.
"OK I agree with Jonard." Beulah said not being so pleased with her reply.
"It's decided then, your trial starts first thing in the morning tomorrow." Jonard announced.
Leo said nothing, he only smirked as he left the room followed suit by Liam.
"Are you sure about this jonard?." Beulah asked.
"Don't worry my Queen, it's going to be an impossible one; he'll never win the test." Jonard assured.
"Don't underestimate him, the boy is a formidable warrior, he doesn't give up easily especially when he puts his mind on it." Rarj said.
"And what if he wins? Beulah asked
" If he wins then it means he's ready."
" we hope so." said Beulah
"I have to get going, but I'll be back tomorrow for the trial." Jonard said.
"OK bye, thanks for coming" Beulah said.
Jonard walked out of the house as he climbed the horse he came with, it had been waiting outside all along. He then rode the horse away.
