Irene’s POV
My head banged with aches that threatened to tear it open. I let out a loud grunt as I stirred on the bed, my legs felt sore and my v****a even more than my legs. My eyes finally opened revealing the very unfamiliar room. I gasped.
Flashes of last night, the way he pinned me to the bed, the way I let a stranger hold me and f**k me!
‘Irene, what the hell was wrong with you?’ Even as I spoke to myself I couldn’t resist thinking about him, the man was too handsome to be true.
I checked the time on the wall clock and I sprang up the bed immediately. It was getting late and my father would be worried but where had the man gone too?
I had no time to check, I quickly got dressed and I left the room immediately.
On my way back to the palace, I couldn’t stop envisioning myself in the man’s arms. His scent filled my nose and I was trapped in some kind of trans and he was the only person I saw.
Flashback to last night, how his c**k filled up my wet hole. The way I let a stranger have me for the first time.
The gate of the place was opened and I sighed knowing that I would not be let out and I would have to face my father.
As the car stopped, the guards outside pulled the door open for me and I got out, not forgetting to adjust my dress.
I walked into the first living room, my eyes meeting with that of my father, he sighed when he saw me. It was a sigh of relief.
“Dad.”
“Irene!” He stood from his chair, spreading his hands apart for a hug. I hesitated for a while but soon I ran into my father's embrace. It was warm and tender but it wasn’t the same as the strangers' own.
“Oh, child. You scared me.” My dad pressed a kiss on my forehead.
“I’m sorry Dad. I just couldn’t. I can’t..” he hugged me again and I cried in my father’s arms.
“I’m sorry that you have to go through this.” He looked at me, guilt and pain filled his eyes. He looked scared; scared for his pack.
“I don’t want to, dad.”
“The Rogues have surrounded our pack, we are trying to put every werewolf to safety but it feels more impossible with every passing day.”
“We can fight them off.” I insisted as I took a few steps away from him.
“Not after the last attack, they overpowered us and we lost a lot of soldiers. They killed our women, they killed babies..”
“Dad.” I begged, tears falling from my eyes, wetting my cheeks and even falling to my dress.”
“The Lycan King, Ramon; he’s agreed to help us but he wants to take you as his wife.”
“Sacrificing me?” I asked my voice hitched with hate for that evil man, I believed he was the cause of all of what was happening.
“Irene!” Dad yelled! His voice was laced with guilt.
“You do not have any idea what I have sacrificed for the sake of my pack, for the sake of my people, so asking you to do this for your people should not be that big of a deal.”
“Dad! This is the life you are talking about! My life, I cannot watch you ruin it.”
“I am your father, Your King, and your Alpha and I’ll make decisions for you. You are to be married to him in a week.” He yelled at the top of his voice. I looked him in the eye. It was the first time my dad was yelling at me.
He realized that he’d yelled and then he immediately sighed.
“I’m sorry, Irene. You.. you’re my only hope” his words seemed desperate.
“I threw you a party despite all that’s happening because you asked for it.”
“Dad, that's a different thing.”
“Your pack needs you, if you can stop this destruction by just getting married then you should.”
“Dad..”
“I don’t have any other choice, you’ll start getting fittings for your wedding dress. You can leave now.” He lifted his eyes so he didn't stare at me and I ran, I ran away from his presence to my room locking the door behind me.
“Ahhhhhhhhhh” I let out a scream and immediately the maid knocked on my door asking if I was fine.
“Your Highness, are you okay?” Her voice was filled with worry but I wanted her gone.
“Let me be, get out!” I yelled and I could feel her leave behind the closed door.
I fell to the ground. Anyone else but Ramon, he’s the cause of everything happening.
I stayed in my room throughout the day and even the next day, the only thing I allowed in was food because I was hungry.
I looked like a mess, this was not the princess I was trained to be.
My phone rang and I picked it up almost immediately, seeing that it was my best friend. The crying voice of Aurora filled my ears.
“Aurora? Why are you crying? Is something wrong?” I asked but her screaming and her cries didn’t stop.
“Arie? Please stop crying and talk to me, you are making me scared.”
“The rogues attacked us. They took my mother with them.” For a moment, the world went silent.
“I need your help, Irene. Please help me get back my mother, I will die without her.” Her voice was laced with so much pain and worry.
“Arie.. uh.. uhm Arie.”
“Please tell me that you can do something about it?” She asked and I nodded my head like she could see me.
“I’ll talk to my dad Arie and I promise to help you get back your mom.” I made a promise to my friend even if I knew that I didn’t know how to go about it.
I stayed on the phone with Arie for a while before ending the call and rushing out of my room.
I have to help Arie, she’s my best friend and her mother has been more of a mother to me, she’s filled in the space of my mother.
“Where is my father?” I frantically rushed down the stairs and asked the maid who was cleaning.
“He’s in his home office.” She mouthed and I almost pushed her as I ran to his office.
“Dad.” I pushed open the door without caution and I met him in a meeting with his beta and gamma.
“Dad, they took Arie’s mom. They took her, the rogues took my best friend’s mother.” I cried and my father took in a deep breath sighing.
“I don’t know what to do, Irene.” He mouthed and for the first time since I knew my father I had heard him accept defeat.
“They are getting closer to the pack house, the warriors cannot hold them anymore, they might invade our place any moment.” My father continued.
How had I been so blind to not notice that all of this was happening in my pack, my people were dying and I was only able to think of myself. How about all of the people that had died because of the fight?
I looked into my father's dark orbs and looked around his office, his beta. Beta Vincent and Gamma Roland. They all looked like it was the end.
Their eyes held no atom of hope and it pained me that I was unable to see this sooner.
“What if I agree to get married to Alpha Ramon, what is his offer?” I asked my father and I watched his face fall into a crumpled look.
He looked like he’d failed like he’d lost all the right to be called my father.
“Talk to me..” I turned to beta Vincent since my father had not opened his mouth to say a word.
“He’d wage a war and will help us defeat the rouges anything he else?”
“He’s offering financial support too.”
“Then what are we waiting for? We have a wedding to plan. Start getting things ready, according to my father it’s in five days.”
“Princess?” His voice sounded like he was unsure of what he was hearing.
“You heard me right, I agree to get married to Ramon as long as my pack gets the help we need in return.” I mouthed.
“Understood Your Highness.” With that, they both stood from the seat opposite my father’s huge mahogany desk.
“Are you doing this, Irene?” I nodded in reply, tears slowly falling down my eyes.
“I love my best friend, I love my pack, and I will do anything to see us get out of this situation. I was just being selfish and I know better than that.”
“I am sorry, Irene. I am sorry that I have failed in my duties as your father and as your Alpha.”
“No Dad. You have not as I have not failed in my duties as a princess and it is time to make use of the knowledge I got from you, Dad
