Alex paced the dining hall in anticipation of meeting Caleb. She couldn’t believe she actually wanted to see him. She needed to control herself. It was strictly business and there was no time for flirting. She was only doing this so she could find her father, and end the war against the Isle. And yet she still found herself thinking about the little creases in his face from smiling, and the red tint in his beard. The hairs on her skin began to rise at the thought of him smiling at her. “Relax. Soon enough.” the Phoenix Goddess said.
The plan was to sneak Caleb into her father’s secret room, a place Alex knew no one could hear them. She had arranged for a special shipment of toiletries and towels from the mainland. She didn’t want to raise any questions so she made sure herself that the paperwork was in order.
Caleb made his way to the dock to step onboard the ship bound for Port at Acadia. He was a little skeptical of the request from the daughter of the stubborn man who couldn’t give up his own power to prevent decades of war, but here he was. Caleb only told his personal king’s men about the meeting. His mother thought he was out hunting, and the royal advisors were all in prayer or had gone to bed for the night. The King was lost in thought on the 4 hour voyage to the Isle. He was intrigued by her. Caleb could see now that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, and the wit of the President’s daughter made him laugh. He thought of her natural beauty, the way her body might have looked under those dresses. Since their last meeting, she was always on his mind. He was impressed that she was brazen enough to attempt to fool the royal palace. The king’s men had received an anonymous tip about the diversion to steal the hard drive, so they were ready before it even happened. He wondered what it would be like to take off those dresses, and his c**k became hard. “Focus.” a voice said in his head. “Yeah, yeah. Shut it.” Caleb replied.
The night moon hung low over the dark sky as Caleb walked onto the floating dock from the ship. Port was dim and gloomy. Many of the street lamps were broken. There were chain link fences held down by cinderblocks, and barbed wire lined the tops. There were several docking areas all leading to a central balcony to the villages and central city. Port had been a spectacular place. It had the capacity to house almost 50 ships. It was one of the biggest places in the Great Sea to move, trade and buy goods. Caleb had heard his father and mother talk about the silks and ivory that they would get at Port on their travels. Now it looked like a ghost town. Like the war was finally taking its toll. The thought of his father pained him. He mourned his death briefly because to Caleb, his father was never really there to begin with. Now he was stuck with the burden of the crown.
Alex was standing by the back door to the armory. She saw Caleb and his men begin to walk toward her. She became even more overwhelmed with anticipation. “Took ya long enough.” Alex said teasing him.
“Yeah well a cargo ship isn’t exactly the same as my yacht.” Caleb said. They quickly entered the armory and made their way to the Presidential suite. She told the king’s men to stand guard in her father’s office. Caleb watched her carefully as she touched the book, then looking to a rather large classic, van Goh’s Cafe Terrace on the wall punched in a few numbers. He inadvertently let out a laugh, catching a glare from Alex, but in his defense this seemed like some sort of spy movie. The picture opened in a matter of seconds and became an entryway. Caleb was curious now. Upon entering the smaller than normal door, he was amazed at the actual size of the room inside, looking all around. A table and chairs, small couch, futon. It was a safe room. He plopped down on the couch, and said, “So what’d ya bring me here for?”
Alex cleared her throat. She tried to prepare a speech but so much had happened, she just couldn’t collect her thoughts. “Well, um, listen- I know that we tried to steal from you. I just have to find my father. I don’t think I ever told you what happened.” Alex said.
“It’s okay. Really, it is.” Caleb said. He looked away. “I want to know. I’m listening.”
“I already told your Mother I don’t remember a lot. I know my father didn’t murder yours though, and I know something else is going on. I know you were tipped off about the hard drive, I just couldn’t understand who from the Isle would do that.” Alex’s voiced choked at the end.
“We all want the war to end.” She finished. Caleb placed his hand behind her back, rubbing small circles in between her shoulder blades. “So do I.” He whispered. Alex didn’t want him to stop.
“I have to tell you something, Caleb.” Alex finally said, turning to him. “That day at the meeting, I remember getting shot at by the men taking my father. I remember that the bullets didn’t hurt, I didn’t bleed. I became a flame.”
Caleb burst out laughing. “Don’t be rude Caleb I’m serious. My mother..”
“Look this has been fun and all but I really gotta get back to the palace.. and”
“And what? There is something else coming. There is someone else who wants to rule the world. I think it’s someone from the Isle. I think it could be the Vice President.”
“How do you know? Thats a pretty serious accusation to not have any evidence.” Caleb said.
“The Phoenix Goddess told me. She speaks to me in my mind. She guides me, she makes me stronger.” Alex said.. her voice sort of trailed off in disbelief herself at what she was saying. But it was real. “And I know that you have one too.”
Caleb whipped his head toward her, looking her directly in the eyes. He saw a golden sunset in them, and suddenly flames danced across her iris’. Then he heard “Mate.” and the smell of the room became intoxicatingly filled with only that of Alex. The smell of her hair, her breath, her skin, in-between her legs. He was drawn to her but now it felt like he had to have her. He moved closer to her, wrapping her up in his arms, looking deeper into the flames in her eyes. Alex was stunned. She wanted to feel his lips, his touch. She leaned in too and Caleb couldn’t resist. When their lips touched, small sparks danced across their skin.
Caleb’s hands slid up her shirt, pulling it over her head. Alex unbuttoned her pants and slid them down her curvy hips. The two made their way to the futon in a trance, touching and kissing each other playfully. Alex couldn’t stop herself, she wanted him. She had wanted to explore his body the first time she saw him. They were naked now and the intense moments leading up to it had began to slow down.. “Caleb, are you sure about this?” Alex said. “I’m sure I want to be with you every moment from here on out.” he said in between gently kissing her collar bone, up to her next. Alex closed her eyes and could feel the flames inside of her, she wanted him too. “He’s your fated mate.” Alex heard the goddess say. She opened her eyes and Caleb brushed some of her hair back, leaning in to kiss her more.
Alex’s hands found their way to his big hard c**k, and began stroking it, pulling him closer to her. She forced him inside of her. There was a euphoric explosion. Their bodies intertwined in each other. Caleb thrusted, and Alex would joyfully moan. They would stay up most of the night, pleasing each other and satisfying their desires for one another.
Afterwards, they laid together under a sheet. “Caleb, I need you.” Alex managed to say between her light panting. He turned to her. “I’ll follow you into the darkest night, and shine with you on the brightest of days.”
