Rules and Falling apart

Waking up the next morning I felt a completely new man. I felt stronger. This was the happiest I have been since I can remember and it was all because of the amazing woman laid next to me. I rolled over expecting to be greeted by Jasmine... She wasn't there. I sat up and scanned the room. My smile faded to concern as I wondered where she could have gone. I looked at the clock and it read 7 am. Jasmine always wakes up at 7:30 am. She has done every day since she moved into my apartment. Standing up from bed I threw on some joggers and a shirt and left the room. Making my way downstairs it was unusual to see the rest of my pack, minus Jasmine, already awake and socialising in the living room. I've always lived alone. Ever since I moved into the apartment I had been keen on keeping it that way, obviously until Jasmine arrived. Seeing them brought both sadness and happiness. I was glad to have my pack so close, however, the circumstances that brought us together under this one roof were not good. "H" Cameron was the first to notice me walking down the stairs. I nodded and made my way to the kitchen hoping to find Jasmine there. When I walked through the swinging doors I became even more concerned when she wasn't there. Pouring myself a tea, which Jasmine got me into, I went back into the living room to question the others. "Has anyone seen Jasmine?" They all looked at me with a weird expression. "We thought she was still asleep with you?" My concern turned to fear as this meant no one knew where she was and she had wandered off. Could she have been taken? By who? A million questions were running through my mind when they were interrupted by the front door opening. Jasmine walked in and greeted us, "Hey," She said with a smile. "Why is everyone looking at me?" Before anyone else could answer I jumped in, "Where have you been?" My tone came off a little more aggressive then worried which caused her to frown. I could tell she didn't mean to worry me. "I just went for some early morning fresh air..." She sounded confused as to why I was making this such a big deal. Rightfully so. "Why?" She finally questioned after settling onto the sofa. "I was just worried that's all" I replied. "With the whole thing going on right now... being hunted by the supernatural order... I'm not sure it's a good idea to be running off on your own." They all looked at me as I announced, "Maybe we should have some rules..." As the alpha whatever I said went so they didn't really have a choice to oppose me. However, if they had any better ideas, I was all ears. Mollie was the first to pipe up, "What kind of rules?" She asked. "From now on we must stick together... so no more going off on your own" I replied cautiously not to provoke any arguments or disagreements. Mollie and Isaac both sighed as they were more the lone wolf type. They would rather be alone than have to stick together for the next few months. "It's only for the time being... as soon as we sort out this mess with the order we can go back to normal." I tried reassuring them. "Who says it will ever go back to normal?" Isaac piped up next. He was right. "We just have to hope they understand and forgive us..." Isaac for the first time since joining the pack cut me off. "Us? You were the one who exposed us" His tone carried a lace of anger. I took the snap from him as it was a difficult time right now. Mollie stepped up, "He's right Harry... we wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for you" Her words, although softer than Isaac's snap, still hit hard. I was losing them. The pack was starting to fall apart. "Guys come on give him a break..." Cameron expectedly stood up for me, giving me a sympathetic smile as he walked and stood by my side. "It's okay... I deserve it" I was thankful for his compassion but they were right. "I know I screwed up guys. As the alpha It's my responsibility to make sure the pack is safe... I'm trying... I really am." I went over to where Jasmine was stood and whispered in her ear. "You're still okay with me right?" She nodded and smiled, "Of course... but it's gonna take more to convince them..." She gestured in the direction of Mollie and Isaac. I accepted the responsibility but making up for my mistakes was next on the list. After discussing a few more rules with the pack and reading over the list a few more times I was happy. The list of rules included sticking together and completing our set housekeeping tasks and a few minor rules. It was very obvious that tension was high between the pack. It was very obvious that this was going to be a long few months...
