I am a mess...
My long raven hair is all tangled up, my eyes are puffy from crying all week, my nose is red, and I have lost weight. I look horrible. I don't even know how I managed to survive this week from doing nothing but lock myself in the room to cry my heart out.
It is a good thing that I am currently staying on the western side of this mansion or else Granny Mio has already punished me for being tardy.
I should pull myself together, especially since I heard that they would allow me to go back to being a model. I used to do modeling starting when I was just eight, up until when I was fourteen.
I let out a sigh as I stare at my reflection in the mirror. From my long raven hair, almond-shaped dark black eyes, pointed nose, and natural pink lips. I look exactly like my mother.
Don't get me wrong, I like the way I look since my mother is a great beauty. I heard that she once had a lot of men lining up to ask her out for a date. But of course, she dated no one. The only man she ever had a chance to get close to is my father. After all, they were engaged from a young age.
My mother's name is Sasha Carson Seto, the beloved daughter of the Carson family. With her graceful yet charming appearance, she easily made her way as the top model in the industry. But after her engagement was announced, she quit being a model and instead focus on her other passion... being a designer.
My father's name is Ryuu Seto and the current head of the Seto Clan. The Seto clan is an influential family in Japan. Though they suffer a period of hardship back in the day, they overcome it with the help of my mother's family. And thus their engagement was formed.
He has short, light brown hair, almond shape chocolate-colored eyes, a mole near his eyes, and natural pink lips. The same with my mother, my father also is a good-looking man. I am indeed fortunate to be born with such great features from two great-looking parents.
Still... did I even ask for all of this? I get it... I have to fulfill my role as their daughter. But...
I place my hand on my chest the moment it throbs in pain.
"Ha... What can I do?" I mumble as I open the faucet making the water splash on the white marbled sink.
The name that they have given me... Ashley Yumi C. Seto. Their one and only daughter.

"Goodness! Just what kind of face is this! You look so terrible!" Grandma Mio exclaims the moment she notices my face.
I finally push myself to go and pay her a visit to the main building of the mansion. Ever since I arrived here, I haven't had a chance to properly greet her.
"Greetings, Grandma. How have you been?" I greeted her as I lower my head.
"Gosh, this child! How could you only greet me now? And what is with that horrible look on your lovely face?!" I heard Grandma exclaim as I look up to see her frowning lips.
Ah... well, how do I explain this one?
"I apologize for being tardy, Grandma. I have been feeling unwell after the long flight, thus the reason why I look horrible right now," I explain as I force myself to smile.
One thing I need to watch out for when I am facing her, is to make sure to answer politely and to always maintain a smile on my face. She despises it when one is frowning in her presence. She just has a personal belief that talking to someone who looks gloomy will make her unlucky.
That is also why she is reacting this strongly to my current messy appearance. Although I tried my best to fix my appearance with make-up and even pamper myself with a milk bath covered with flower petals. All just to cover up the fact that I did nothing all week but sobbed my heart out.
She observes me from head to toe before letting out a sigh.
"And so I've heard. But you can't fool this old granny of yours! I know why you lock yourself all the way to the corner side of this mansion! It's because of that boy, am I wrong?" She spoke that made me flinch in surprise.
Did... did they inform her about him? About Sean?
"...I have no idea what you are talking about Grandma," I quietly answer despite my heart thumping wildly in my ribcage.
Before I can even comprehend what is happening, a small hand made its way to my cheek leaving a stinging pain behind.
"You...! How dare you to lie to your grandma like this?! I can see why your father has sent you to me! You have lost your respect for your elders by hanging out with that boy! Tanna!! Tanna!!" she yells as I hear hurried footsteps make their way to the living room we are in.
I nibble my lower lips as I raise my right hand to lightly touch the cheek that is stinging in pain.
Ha...! I forgot how painful her slap is than my father's.
"Yes, madam? Is there anything you need?" I heard Tanna ask the moment she lowers her head to her.
Tanna, a woman of her thirties, with her long dark blue hair turned into a tight bun, clear glasses hiding her clear emerald eyes, and her thin lips covered with dark red lipstick. She is also wearing a black business formal attire paired with black high heels.
She is Grandma's assistant, she has been working for her since Tanna is still a high school girl. I don't understand how she manages to stay beside her when Grandma has a tendency to physically abuse wherever someone made the slightest mistake.
"I will put you in charge of instructing this granddaughter of mine! Make sure to remove the attitude she got from that boy! Go and get her out of my sight!" she orders as Tanna glance at me.
I recognize a slight disappointment that made its way to her eyes.
Ah... she most likely heard by now about what I have done. To think I was once so close to her, and now... I don't think she will listen to me. After all, she is granny's most loyal servant.
"Yes madam. Then, young miss if you may? Please follow me," Tanna said as she lowers her head toward me.
"I apologize for my behavior, Grandma. Then, I wish you to have a good day," I quietly bid goodbye to Grandma as I stand up from where I was kneeling before shaking my numb legs quietly. I limp up to walk towards Tanna who is patiently waiting for me, before leading the way out of the living room.
Yes, I was kneeling on the carpet of the living room. It is what I have been instructed to do ever since I was young. That the proper way for me to greet Grandma was to kneel in front of her and I am not allowed to stand up until she said so.
This is the tradition that has been passed down from the very first generation of my father's family until now. Even he is still doing this kind of greeting and of course, mom is also doing this.
The sole exception is when we have a guest.
This family... my father's family is an extremely strict household that follows their family tradition with such respect. If one were to ever break their tradition, that someone will either be exiled from the household or be killed on the spot.
The reason for this is they are once an influential mafia family back during the first generation until the fourth. Although they don't practice any illegal activities anymore, they still used violence until this day.
