The city of New York shimmered beneath the golden hue of the setting sun as Williams Jake stood on the rooftop balcony of his penthouse apartment . His piercing blue eyes surveyed the sprawling metropolis below, but his mind was far from the picturesque view.
Williams was a man who had it all - wealth, power, and an aura of invincibility - yet beneath his polished exterior lay a dark secret that threatened to consume him. For years, he had maintained a reputation as a cutthroat CEO, feared and respected in the corporate world.
His empire thrived on calculated risks and ruthless decisions. But lately, his carefully constructed facade had started to c***k. A high-stakes deal had gone sour, and now, the threat of financial ruin loomed over him like a storm cloud. As he brooded on the edge of the terrace, his phone buzzed with a notification.
Williams glanced at the screen, his expression darkening further as he read through the headlines "Young CEO caught on camera harassing a female bartender" .
"Not again with these reporters" Williams scoffed "
"He slid through his phone, scrolling to gather more information.
'Whoever captured these pictures must have a knack for angles,' he mused, his face contorted with anger as he zoomed in on the photos.
" These reporters never ceases to tarnish my reputation " he smirked as he returned to the sitting room.
His eyes remained fixed on his phone, his face devoid of expression, as he silently made his way to the refrigerator to look for a bottle of wine.
"I was at the bar last night but heavens knows I harassed no one. He murmured as he reached for an empty glass cup
"If a woman approaches me for attention, a slight touch wouldn't be considered harassment, I merely touched her, not in a particularly invasive manner. These reporters should ensure their facts are accurate. It's not as if I had any interest in her," he muttered.
He was abruptly disrupted by his secretary, seemingly appearing out of nowhere.
"Wane Oscar? You are still here ? Williams questioned still trying to figure out what wine to take. He finally picked out pure heaven wine and gestured towards the dining table, his secretary followed behind.
"What the update? Williams inquired settling on the coach in the sitting room
"I've seen the news, sir, and I've already spoken with the media manager. You need not be concerned; the scandals will be removed shortly,"
Wane reported, his breath heavy. He had consistently shouldered the blame whenever things went awry within the company..
Wane Oscar is a middle-aged man who has been in the service of Williams Jake since long before Williams assumed the role of CEO at Jake's Foundation. He's a man who truly comprehends the values of loyalty and dedication to his work. Ever since Williams' father pulled him from difficult circumstances and breathed new life into him, Wane pledged to safeguard and serve Williams no matter what.
"They had better act swiftly before my father catches wind of this," Williams replied as he delicately poured himself a drink and gazed through the glass.
"I believe he already has," Wane Oscar replied as his phone vibrated. "You should take this call," he advised.
Williams hesitated before answering, "Hey, Dad!" he greeted, unsure of how to proceed.
"Come to the family dinner tonight; we have unfinished business," his father stated before abruptly ending the call.
"Damn, not again!" Williams exclaimed. "Get the car ready; we're leaving in 30 minutes," he instructed as he hurried to the bathroom.

The aroma of delicious food filled the air as the family gathered around the dining table. Plates were filled with steaming dishes of homemade lasagna, garlic bread, and a colorful salad. Candles flickered in the center, casting a warm, cozy glow.
Jake Norman, the founder of Jake's Foundation, sits alongside his stunning wife, Lorraine. Jake Norman has left an indelible mark on the financial landscape, dedicating his entire life to building structures and investments for Jake's Foundation, and his life is the epitome of "success."
Lorraine is an influential figure in her own right, having garnered influence through her marriage to Norman Jake. She's a fair-skinned woman with blonde hair, and even in her late 40s, she maintains a youthful and admirable appearance. Rumors often suggest that she sustains her beauty through cosmetic surgery and diligent skincare routines.
Dressed in a white shirt and a blue blazer jacket, Jake Williams walked in, exuding a professional air with his impeccable sense of fashion. In terms of appearance, Jake is the embodiment of every woman's ideal: tall, dark, and handsome. However, Jake has no interest in the dating world.
"Hope I'm not too late; I got caught in traffic," Jake explained as he took his seat at the dinner table.
"Hey, bro," greeted Kelvin, Jake's older brother. Seated beside him was his wife, Anna, who smiled and waved at Jake, signaling a warm welcome. Jake responded with a quick smile before switching back to his neutral expression as he settled at the table.
Jake and his only brother, Kelvin, have never been on good terms. Jake views Kelvin as a self-centered individual with unclear motives for seeking fame. On several occasions, Kelvin has threatened Jake to step down from his role as CEO, but Jake is unwavering in his determination to stand his ground.
Everyone took their seats on the dining table , an awkward silence descended upon the room. No one seemed to know where to begin the conversation, and the clinking of silverware against plates was the only sound breaking the tension.
"Why were you at the bar, Williams?" Norman finally broke the silence.
Williams paused for a moment. "I was hanging out with friends," he responded, maintaining his composure.
"How did it come to this, then?" His mother asked, fixing her gaze on him.
"Mom, I wouldn't know. Someone is trying to fabricate stories to tarnish my reputation, isn't that obvious?" Williams clarified.
"But the pictures show you," Kelvin was still making a point when Jake interjected,
"the pictures are lies," Jake replied abruptly, setting his spoon down on the dining table.
"Williams Jake!" Norman's voice echoed in the dining room.
"First, a significant product sales failure, and now a scandal?" Norman continued, his frustration evident.
"You know how much I've invested in this foundation, and your irresponsibility is putting it at risk."
"Dad, I'm not irresponsible," Williams countered.
"How do you intend to calm the situation? Norman asked with a mouth full of fries.
Jake thought for a moment " my secretary has spoken to the Media director and the scandal will be taken down any minute". Jake answered clamly. Jake has the ability to remain calm under pressure.
"I'm planning to meet with Collins Armstrong, the founder of Armstrong Construction Company. He has a lovely daughter, Isabella Armstrong. We're arranging a meeting for the two of you to get acquainted and discuss this matter. Our intention is to merge Jake's Foundation with Armstrong Construction Company through your marriage with Isabella. With this merger, we aim not only to become the wealthiest entity in New York but also the most robust and influential group in the city."
"Dad, I can handle Jake's foundation without being married off" Jake respond not comfortable with the idea of being married off
Kelvin and Anna couldn't hide their delight as Williams was reprimanded. "He deserves this," Anna whispered to Kelvin. "This is just the beginning," Kelvin replied, and Anna chuckled.
"I'll arrange the blind dates for you since you've been reluctant to take matters into your own hands. If you refuse, I'm afraid you'll have to step down as the CEO of Jake's Foundation. Your brother Kelvin and his wife are in a better position to manage the company," Norman stated casually.
Jake paused, contemplating the years of hard work he had dedicated to the company. The thought of losing it was daunting. "I need to come up with a plan quickly," he thought to himself.
"I'm actually seeing someone already," Williams said reluctantly.
An abrupt silence descended upon the dining room. "What did you say?" Lorraine asked, making sure she heard correctly.
"Yes, Mom, I'm already in a relationship, and I'll introduce her soon," Williams confirmed. "Great!" Lorraine exclaimed excitedly. "I'd love to meet her."
"Bring her to the next family dinner and resolve this situation," Norman instructed, chastising his son.
