Chapter 25: Damon POV
I stared at Clara's unconscious body for hours. The doctor put her into a medically induced coma. "Someone turned her," he told me with a frown. "The transition is dangerous to the pup. We will wake her as soon as we know it is safe for both mother and child." While this was happening my pack was at war. "Just save my mate," I had told him. He nodded at my words but I could tell he wasn't in complete agreement. "We will save Luna and pup," he said as if his beliefs erased mine. I wanted the pup too but not at the expense of Clara's life.
