I went into panic mode the moment I realized I could not link with Clara. I kept trying to push through the barrier but it was not working. I thought I would go insane with worry. Even stranger, I thought I felt wolfsbane in my system. It was a horrid feeling, like ice in your veins. I wondered if someone was feeding wolfsbane to Clara, forcing the sensation into my body through our mate bond. It only slowed me down a little, not much.
