-ROBIN- "How's your first day, son?" My mother tipped against the table, enthusiastically inquiring about my first day at school. Clearing my throat, I decided to give her subtle nuances to quench her curiosity and gratify every single soul in the dining room. "Oh, it was smooth, Mother. I met two students today." 'A lunatic and a jerk.' I left it out since I didn't want to linger on the matter any longer because I had no plan to ruin my mood. Regardless, it appeared that my response pleased them. Even the Omegas in the room nodded in contentment. "By the way, son. Your birthday is coming up, and we are expecting you to introduce us to your girlfriend. Have you met someone who will be qualified to be the next Luna of our pack, hm?" my father suddenly broached the subject that I had avoided since I returned home. That resulted in my hand becoming frozen in mid-air while holding a fork with a piece of steak. Losing my appetite instantly, I looked at Aric Spark with a deadpan expression. "I don't need a luna, Dad; please excuse me." I lowered the fork to my plate, rose, and exited the room at a fast gait, gnashing my teeth. Seriously! What kind of nonsense is he talking about? A luna? Being kissed by Alicia nearly killed me from distaste; what more if I married someone of my gender? I am not being judgmental or homophobic here. I'm also not opposed to same-s*x relationships since when I was a rogue, I had two male friends who were overly into each other, but that didn't apply to me because I am freaking straight. A long sigh fled my lips and I loosened up a bit. As the future Alpha of Spark Galore, I believe the moment will come when we will be needing a Luna. That is how every wolf pack operates. 'Should it, however, be a girl? Maybe a man will do as well?' I groaned in frustration. 'Oh, damn it. What am I thinking? A man as a luna?' There is no such thing in the werewolf realm's history that a male became the mother of a pack and if I insist on having one, it will be a huge problem since it will start nasty rumors throughout the planet. If I choose a man as my mate, my parents will surely die in humiliation, and even though I am a real woman, I can't divulge my true identity or I will lose the alpha title. In any case, my parents' legacy is on the line. If the council and elders uncover the truth, the worst that may happen is that Aric Spark and my mother are executed. My fists clenched tightly and my nails dug deeply into my hand. 'I must discover a suitable answer to this problem. My eighteenth birthday is next month. I need to find the ideal female who is willing to make a reasonable bargain with me.' The next morning, I came to a standstill when I observed three tall male students standing near my locker. They were facing the opposite direction, allowing me to scan their bodily forms discreetly. The one on the left with blond hair is a handsome giant. His brawny muscles protruded from behind his black polo shirt. He's clothed in blue denim pants and sneakers. He's quite hot. My gaze moved to the man on his right, who was dressed simply in a white t-shirt and tight black jeans. On his feet were a pair of vans. A black-framed eyeglass and a book in his hand. The affable but nerdy type. I mentally hummed "Nice." They piqued my interest and I couldn't help but grin till I saw the third one in the middle of those interesting male wolves and became uncomfortable when I realized he was also looking at me. Shit! He caught me checking them out. Biting my lower lip, my sight avoided his gaze and I looked aside. But then a grimace formed on my face when I recognized him compelling me to glance at him again. He turned up stunning in a black-fitting shirt, wash blue denim, and a pair of vans, but his chilly glare contradicted his outward attractiveness. The lump that had formed in my throat was swallowed hard. He's the one. The hulking jackass who rescued my ass from Alicia. My face distorted as I averted my gape from him. I ignored his penetrating stare completely as I walked to my locker. 'What if he noticed me gazing at them? As far as I recall, he was also rude in not recognizing my gratitude yesterday, therefore we're calling it quits. And, by the way, what are they doing here so early in the morning?' When someone spoke behind me, I didn't expect my query to be answered quickly. "Hey, dude! What's up?" My body swung around to see the blond behemoth staring at me with a big brilliant smile on his face. Surprisingly, I responded in a calm manner. "I'm fine, and it's not 'dude'; it's Robin, man." His smile broadened, and he extended his hand, which I gladly grasped. "Greco, man. Aphro is the one with the stupid eyeglasses, and the cold beast there is Czech." I shook Greco's hand and waved to Aphro, who waved back, while Czech granted me a short nod and merely eyed me with a profound frown on his face. My eyes rolled mentally. He's a hopeless case. Seriously! What's up with him and his icy expression? With that notion in mind, I returned my attention to Greco. "Nice to meet you all, but may I ask why you're still here?" It's almost time for the first period. Are they going to skip class? "Our lockers are all here, man, but I think it's time to move our asses or we'll be late for our first subject," Greco slapped my shoulder. "See you around, Robin!" Aphro delivered a tiny wave while I stuck around in my spot watching them leave. A sigh of relief took off my mouth when they were finally out of sight. I'd been living as a male for nearly eighteen years, yet being discovered sent chills down my spine. I bit my lower lip. Those guys. They didn't figure it out, did they?
