Every day I walk from house to house, pretending that I am doing Luna's duties. When in fact, I am visiting the families that Dr Alex told me would be willing to oppose Cain when the time comes. I talk to them and try to make them believe that Xavier would be a better leader and that they would have a better life under his rule. Alex says that I help; for some reason, they believe in me and already consider me their Luna even though they know that I detest Cain. I guess he is not winning the “Alpha of the Year” award after all. Xavier does. And it warms up my heart.
Another thing that makes me happy is that the mark Cain gave me disappeared without a trace. I don’t even have the tiniest scar in that place. I guess when you have a true mate, only their mark counts.
