Chapter 2 : First Day

Andrea's POV

I woke up hearing the alarm sound, I got up and quickly finished all my chores, I got ready and went downstairs, Mia was still sleeping, I went to the kitchen and poured some Orange juice in a glass and drank it.

It was 6:30 am, so I left my apartment and got into a taxi, after fifteen minutes I reached the company, paid the taxi driver, and walked inside.

No one was there not even the receptionists, it was too early, I got into the lift and reached the 49th floor where I'm going to work from today onwards, I entered my cabin, kept my bag on the table and sat on the chair, a laptop and some files were on the table.

I took all the files and arranged them on the shelf, it's been twenty minutes since my arrival, I don't know whether I should report him of my arrival or what, however, I have to give him coffee now, so I went in search of the coffee room, At the end of the hall there was a small room I went in and of course it was a coffee room. I quickly prepared his coffee and went to his office, I lightly knocked on his door.

"Come in", I heard a husky voice, this time it wasn't cold, maybe he's in good mood.

I walked inside slowly, " Good morning sir, your coffee" I placed it on his table.

He gave a curt nod, how rude?! Is he always like this? I was looking at him intensely and he was going through some files. Though he's rude he's too hot, oh, come on Ana, don't get lost gawking at him or you're going to be embarrassed again.

"Sir, what should I do next", I asked clearing my throat.

He closed the file and took the coffee cup in his hand, he slowly leaned back in his chair and took a sip of his coffee, and stared straight into my eyes as though he's searching for something in them.

I couldn't bear his gaze, I slightly turned towards the side to ignore him, I cleared my throat and turned towards him again.

" sir— " he cut me off.

"Make twenty-five copies of these documents and place them in the conference hall, go through my schedule which is on a laptop on your table, arrange everything for the meeting at noon, and don't forget to bring a notepad, I want you to take down the notes". He said and handed me 2 sets of documents.

" Okay sir, anything else?" I asked.

"No, you can leave now," he said looking at his computer.

I nodded and left his office.

I sat on the chair in my cabin, I checked his schedule, he has a meeting in the noon and another meeting at 3 pm, later I made 25 copies of the documents as he said.

I went to reception, the lady was on her phone talking to a client, so I waited for her to finish.

"Ms. James, how may I help you," she asked.

" yes, Ms... Thomas just came for an introduction" I said looking at the badge that's pinned on her suit.

"Dear call me Sophia," she said.

"Okay Sophia, you too can call me Andrea or Ana," I said smiling.

"Okay Ana dear, how is working with Mr. Williams," she asked.

"This is only my first day, but I can tell you, he is such a rude person," I said.

"I think you'll get used to it Ana," she said holding my hand.

"Okay, where is the conference room? I need to arrange for the meeting," I asked.

"It's on the 48th-floor dear," she said.

"Okay I'll meet you at lunchtime Sophia, I need to go now," I said and ran to the elevator, we had one hour for the meeting.

I arranged everything for the meeting, I checked once and returned to my cabin.

I checked all the files needed for the meeting, I took a notepad and a pen with me, I turned and headed out of my cabin, and there came my boss out of his office.

"Let's go", I heard him say and followed him.

He is walking too fast and I can't keep my pace with him because of my high heels so I jogged behind him.

We were now in the elevator, it took only ten seconds to reach the 48th floor. He pushed open the door to the conference and everyone has already assembled for the meeting.

" Hello, Mr. Morgan. How are you?", he greeted the other man. He looks like he's in his late twenties. He has brown hair and blue eyes, he's handsome but not as handsome as my boss.

"I am good and who is this beautiful lady here?", he asked turning towards me.

" Hello, Mr. Morgan. I am Andrea James. Mr. Williams new P.A.", I said extending my hand. He took my hand and kissed it.

"You are beautiful Ms. James," he said

"Thank you, Mr. Morgan," I said blushing.

"If you both are over, can we start the meeting," Mr. Williams asked angrily.

" yes, sure we can start," Morgan said.

Mr. Williams sat on the chair, and I pulled a chair next to him and sat, Mr. Morgan started explaining about his company and sometimes he was glancing at me, I turned towards Mr. Williams and he was staring at me angrily, after 35 minutes he finished.

"So, that's it, gentleman," he said and sat opposite to me.

"Well your concepts are great and I like it, so let's close the deal," Mr. Williams said.

"Thank you, Mr. Williams, I am happy that you accepted, it's a great help to our company," Morgan said holding Williams's hand.

" you're welcome Mr. Morgan but I want to visit your company before signing so I can be more sure of what I decided," Williams said.

"Sure sir, we will make the required arrangements for that," Morgan replied.

"Okay, it's time for us to go," Mr. Williams said.

"Okay," Morgan nodded.

We left the conference hall and Mr. Williams told me to go to my cabin as he wants to go check on the accounts department in person for some reason and will be back in fifteen minutes, I agreed and walked to the elevator, I heard someone calling behind me, I turned to look who it was and it was Mr. Morgan.

"Ms. James, don't get me wrong, I just liked you so I came to ask your number," he said, he's flirty but I think he's good.

"Okay, Mr. Morgan give me your phone, I will save my number," I said smiling.

"Just call me Morgan Ms. James," he said handing over the phone to me.

"You too can call me Andrea, Morgan," I said with a giggle, I entered my number in his phone and returned to him.

"If you're free on Friday evening, can we go for dinner," he asked.

"Why not," I said.

"Cool, Your boss is waiting for you, I'll meet you on Friday, bye Andrea," he said and kissed my cheek.

"Okay bye Morgan," I said blushing.

I turned back to see my boss standing near the elevator glaring at me angrily, I was scared now. Now go he's going to kill you with his looks. I didn't move from my place.

"Are you going to come, or should I carry you to your cabin?" he asked clenching his jaws.

That's it your dead, no one can save you, now run before he carries you.
