Shit. I’m pacing around the apartment, double checking all the light fixtures, and that the windows are locked when I feel Macey’s presence behind me.
“What are you doing?” she asks, standing with her hand on her hip.
“Checking for any small, chokable objects.”
“Behind the curtains? Amelia is three months, I doubt she’ll be crawling around over there.”
“When do they crawl?” I ask, stopping my search of possible danger and mayhem.
“Usually around nine months or so,” Macey says.
