The next few days were some of the most stressful since I had arrived in this town. Sita had seemingly disappeared since I turned down her offer, and Fae hasn’t picked up any other wolf scents in the area.
I still couldn’t stop myself from being on edge though. Benny had noticed that I was on edge and gave me a few days off. I didn’t tell him much, but thanked him for giving me time off, letting him know that if something changed, I would text him.
Fae and I spent the majority of the time in our cave, making sure that my scent was completely unnoticeable outside of the entrance.
