The Mark pulsed gold beneath our clothing, once, twice. Then the chapel exploded. The blast hit hard enough to throw me sideways before my mind fully understood what happened. Stone cracked overhead with a deafening roar as heat and force ripped through the western wall. Dust burst violently into the air as the ancient stained glass shattered across the floor like thrown knives. I slammed into the broken pew beside Bastián.
