CHAPTER - 26
Jenn tooka deep breath, then went through the kitchen door and joined Joseph. Joseph was leaning over
the sink, his back to Jenn.
"She's going to do something stupid, isn't she?" Jenn
asked.
Joseph turned, his face red. "I love her. She's my best
friend. But she'sPrerna. And she wouldn't be if she didn't
do s**t like this once in a while."
Joseph slammed the glass in his hand on the counter and
it shattered. The two of them stared at the broken bits
for a few seconds in shock.
"s**t, man, are you okay?" Jenn asked, crossing the island counter to look at Joseph's hand. Relief flooded through him upon seeing Joseph's open hand uninjured.
"I'm okay," Joseph said, his jaw clenched.
"Maybe she'll surprise us," Jenn said, grabbing the remnants into a pile. paper towel
