The dragon within

          ~Leon~

   Castille gives him a little bit of a head start. He then smashes through the door making it look more like an explosion. We then fly upwards for a more dramatic effect making the whole field stop fighting and look up at us. I'm not one for attention but Castille circled around to let everyone bask in his glory. The ones who were protecting Gage bowed down in submission letting our people arrest them for now and lead them to the cells. Alex let out a cry of victory and I bowed my head to let him know I'm proud of him.  I spotted Gage run to the catacombs which I'm assuming is the way he came into the territory to cover his sent. I dive down and walk in after him rolling the stone in front of it so he can't escape without letting me know.

   "Fitting place for your final hour" Castille boomed "I know your in here I can smell your cowardice stench all over."

   Here comes Gage bowing in my presents thinking this will lessen the consequences for his actions. I laugh at his pathetic attempt and swipe his feet out from under him with my tail. 

   "Your pathetic groveling isn't going to spare you life." I inform him. 

   "I understand but I'm praying that you will make it quick and merciful" he says with his head still bowed he won't even look at me. 

   We laugh again. I wrap my tail around him and squeeze. I feel a few bones break and his face behind to change colors. I'm about to put him in my mouth when the stone starts to roll back and I roar furious that anyone would interupt until I smelt lavender and honey and I knew who it was. I didn't want her to see me like this.

   "Don't come down here" I tell her. There's no words but I can hear the soft sound of her feet on the stone. "Joslin wait for me outside! You don't need to see this" She is now standing in front of me with her beautiful eyes I get lost in while the light from outside radiates around her. I turn my head ashamed of what I look like. But she just pulls my head back to her and places her forehead on mine. She doesn't even need to speak I can feel everything she's saying in that moment. 

   "I know you're upset love but I need you to calm down and come back to me." She says with her head still on mine. I went to look behind me at Gage and say something but she pulls my head back to her and says "I know what he did to not just me but both of us but I've got a better idea for everyone to get some peace." I stare into her eyes and realize she needs this. I huff a little letting a little smoke from my nostrils and she just laughed at me. That is the most anxious sounds in the world and any anger I had I let go and Castille let me have back control. Transforming from dragon to human or vice versa is the most painful thing ever because you aren't just changing your shape but also your bones are either grow or shrink while the shape changes. When my bones start to change she brings Alex and another warrior to hold onto Gage while I change. It was excruciating and yes I did cry out a couple of times but Joslin helped me by being by my side and and trying to hold me while I came back. 

   About half an hour later I looked up and seen her beautiful eyes looking at me. We were both naked now but we found a blanket it the corner of the catacombs that we grabbed and wrapped around ourselves. When we walked out the everyone who fought with us were standing outside cheering for us. I watched a Joslin stood taller with pride. I couldn't help but smile at her until we heard Gage mouthing. My face was turning red till Joslin or her hands on my arm and I backed away. After everything he put her through she deserved this little bit. 

   "Gage for your punishment you get 3 days in the square." I seen gages face pale as Joslin spoke "I will let the people decide your fate. If you are still alive after 3 days we will let you rest for a week. After that week you get to go back for 3 more days. If you survive 3 times of this... I'll let you live" everyone gasped as she said this we all knew he didn't deserve it but he looked up at her in surprise. "I will not let you go though because I can't trust you not to come back. You will live as the lowest omega." I know you had a mate and child if the mother comes to our side nothing will happen but if she doesn't your child will be taken to be raised by a family who can raise him right. He will not be punished for your mistakes unless he grows up to be like you... then he will be sentenced to death." 

   I was so proud of how she handled this she is a fair ruler. "You all heard this decree and anyone who doesn't listen well be punished also. This war is over and I thank you all for your help but now it's time for unity and healing."  After she says that the crowd cheers again. She curls back into me and not knowing what the pack house looks like on the inside I take her back to ours so she can get cleaned up and rest. I pick her up and another lady comes up with a blanket and placed it over my mate. "Tie him to the pole" I say and the crowd goes away with him cheering and Gage is screaming. 

   I chuckle in satisfaction and when I look down my heart is already curled up into my chest sleeping. I begin to walk away toward my moms house. I finally get home and my mom was waiting by the door for me. When I noticed her I held Joslin up a little and smiled. She smile back and nodded her head with tests in her eyes. I have to turn sideways to get in. It was a tight squeeze but I managed to get in with out waking her up. I took her upstairs and laid her on my full size mattress. I wanted to lay down too but new I couldn't someone needed to lead now and since Joslin and I are mates it's also my responsibility. I Brush the hair from her face and kiss her forehead. I look around my room and it's not much. I mean the bed was comfy with a red, white, and green quilt on it. I don't like how it looks but it's so warm. It has a dresser with a mirror and a walkway between the two and the wall paper is falling off the walls. 

   I walk out of my room closing the door gently behind me when Kayla  comes running to hug me.  "Leeeoooonnn I missed you!" She says hugging my leg. I pick her up and hug her back. 

   "I missed you too love." 

   "Who's that pretty girl you brought home? " She asks with a smile on her face trying to play innocent. 

   I smile and say "she's someone very important to me can you do me a favor and make sure she's safe? "

   She nodded excitedly "if she's important to you then she's important to me. I'll make her thought at home. " I tussle her hair and laugh. I walk down stairs "Hey Ma I gotta go clean this mess up at the pack house and get a cleaning crew started. Mom puts her arms around me and reassures me she'll be fine and I head out the door to meet up with everyone else.
