Chapter 1: Part 2

POV Luca

As I walk in the front door to our house, I hear my mother and father quietly chatting in the living room, being a wolf makes it so even in a whisper I could still hear what is being said.  Carmella is the first to enter the living room, “How is she dear?” I hear her ask

“She is strong, but this is the worst one yet, I gave her 34 stitches in her leg, the tibia is definitely broken and I believe the Deltoid ligament is torn, but without an x-ray there is no way to know for sure. She has 3 broken ribs, and blood vessels in the eyes have broken.  Mom I’m worried that they will hurt her worse over the next few days, I know that she heals quicker than regular humans, but without the full healing powers of her wolf she will take at least 3 weeks to fully heal instead of just a day of rest. Why did her parents leave her with such monsters?” Carmella responded

“That poor child, she has been through so much in her short life, I wish I was able to step in and protect her, but we have been asked to just watch. Azeen’s parents knew what they were doing, well at least I hope they did Roger and Bethany are humans; we cannot cross any lines when it comes to the treaty we have in place.  Maybe you Antonio can go and have a talk with Sheriff Goyathlay and see if maybe he can have a talk with them human to human.”

“My love you know that would just cause more problems for Azeen, we will help her find a house, so she can move out by the end of day on her birthday, Carmella can you keep Azeen busy that day away from the house?” my father asked

“I can do that dad not a problem, I’ll take her for lunch and then a shopping, Luca you should come as well, and I think Azeen would love to have you there.”

“I’m sorry Carmella I leave at 6am that day to Italy for a few weeks with Aunty and Uncle I wish I could, but she will have a ton of fun with you.” I look at her and then over to my father, “May I speak with you in the office dad before we head out for the day?”

“Yes, I need to get some work done and then head over to the pack house for the day, looking forward to moving back there next Sunday; it’s too hard having to go back and forth or doing meetings over Zoom. Follow me son”

I can hear Carmella start to say something when my mom tells her to go upstairs and get ready.

My dad points to the office and has me go in first,  Beta Roberts is sitting in one chair and Gamma Michael is in the other, both stand and greet my father and I, “Alpha, future Alpha nice to see you both.”

“I hope you guys were not waiting too long on us.” My father states

Both Beta and Gamma shake their heads No, “Well then let’s get down to business.”  My father says as he clasps his hands together and sits in his chair.

“Father I would like to talk to you about Azeen, and then after school today I will have Beta Roberts catch me up on all the pack business if you don’t mind?”

My father looks at me and nods, both Beta and Gamma are staring at me, I could feel that Gamma Michael was uncomfortable in this conversation, since he never agreed to the whole situation especially our family moving out of the pack house and to a regular house 30 minutes away.

“I’m just wondering if I could get a bit more information on why Rogue King Declan wanted Azeen’s parents and Azeen dead? Did he want to be Alpha of SummerVille?”

“I guess now would be a good time to explain it all to you son, you see…………………”

POV Alpha Antonio

I knew that the day and time would come where everything about Azeen, her parents and the Rogue king would have to come out. I have wanted to tell the entire pack, as well as Isaiah’s pack the truth since before their death, from the day I found out Emily was Pregnant.

“I guess now would be a good time to explain it all to you son, you see…………………” I pause and take a deep breath before continuing, “I have known Isaiah since the day we were born; and Elsie since I was two weeks old, our mothers were best friends and soul connected, my father, Isaiah’s father who was Beta to Bella Luna pack and Elsie’s Dad who was Gamma to Bella Luna, use to joke that if they were not all fated mates and the moon goddess allowed that our three mothers would have been fated to each other.   When we were two years old Emily’s family moved to Bella Luna, they were Special and under protection in the pack. Emily’s family was from the realm of Fairies or as you young folk call it the land of the Fay.   Emily’s Fairy name is Aine, meaning Queen of the Fairies. When they came to Bella Luna her name was changed to Emily to keep anyone from knowing who she was. They left their home because it was under attack; Emily wasn’t just a hybrid as we told everyone. Emily was Queen of all realms magical including to us wolves.” Luca looks at me and I know what he’s about to say that they king and queen are Queen Novah and King Alexander and the Rogues all have their own King which is Declan. So before he questions I state:

“King Alexander and Queen Novah took over after they attacked and won, the only thing is they didn’t look at any of the bodies recovered from the attack, they just had them all burned assuming that Emily and her families were amongst the dead. Emily’s dad and mom were kind people and did not believe in war so they did not have anyone trained to fight against Alexander and his warriors; magic is only useful when trained to use it for more than just good and because they didn’t believe in war they had no other form of protection. When Alexander and Novah took the throne Declan who was the leader of their warriors was promised to become the King of Rogues and that is how he became King. Emily’s parents King Avery and Queen Aurora came to Bella Luna in hopes for protection, which they received. Bella Luna is one of the biggest packs in the world, and one of the most magical in the sense our pack is not just wolves; we have every person and thing in our pack. It was also second home to King Avery growing up; this is the pack where everyone comes to train. Which we all know, we have the best of the best.  The plan was for Emily to eventually take back the throne with more than 10000 warriors, she was trained by my father, Isaiah’s father, Almighty Witch Sarah, and her mother. When she turned 19 Antonio and Emily discovered they were true fated mates, they already loved each other prior and this just solicited exactly how they felt for each other.  Emily got pregnant within a couple of months, so over throwing the throne would be put off until her child was 3 years of age. While Emily was pregnant Summerville lost its reigning Alpha of 70 years. Alpha Derrick had no children as his mate died before they could have any, he loved Isaiah as a son and declared him to be the next Alpha of SummerVille, and he was more than strong enough to take that position. Now Roberts you know this part of the story, When Isaiah left to take the Alpha Position Roberts was chosen as my next in command because he is Isaiah’s brother.”    My son and Gamma both stared at me with their mouths open, “So you are telling me that Azeen has had family here this whole time, that she could have been saved from the abuse she has suffered for years? Are you kidding me father.” Lucas voice is deep and angry

“Luca let me finish, after Azeen was born, I would say she was about 2 months old there was a realm meeting, all Alpha’s, Luna’s, leaders, King’s, Queen and under hands were to be there. It was held here in Moon Goddess’s park, there were more than 200 people here. Emily had to attend; we didn’t think that she would be noticed since she was no longer a child. King Declan noticed her, and knew she would be a threat, King Alexander commanded King Declan to kill her and all surviving blood family, Emily being alive was a threat to throne, especially if Emily made it into the castle, as the moment a true royal blood fairy, and hybrid of all was to step foot into the castle a large sonic wave would cross all realms and lands, and the current king and queen would automatically die.  King Declan succeeded at having Isaiah and Emily killed, and he believed that Azeen was killed as well, but he only killed her clone. By the time the pack was attacked Azeen was already in the care of Roger and Bethany.  I offered my support and warriors as we are the best and Isaiah turned me down, he said this had to be done and he did not want the king or queen to know that we were not on their side. I was to protect the rest of the family.”

As I finished what I was saying I handed a letter to Luca, “Read my son”……

POV Luca

To My Eldest and Truest Friend,

If you have received this letter it means that my life has moved on from this earth with my beautiful love Aine. I can’t thank you enough for your friendship, brother hood, and support. In my death I have a final request. Please watch over my dearest darling daughter Azeen.  By the time you have received this letter she should be settled in with Roger Whiteford and Bethany Capanella in a home 5 blocks from the Moon Goddess’s Park. They are human, and have been paid decently for their troubles of caring for Azeen. I am to believe they are drunks which will help Azeen stay hidden from King Declan, King Alexander and Queen Novah. My beautiful wife Aine has placed a binding spell on Azeen, her true form and powers never to be seen or felt, the only way this binding spell can be removed is if she was to meet her true fated mate, which Aine believes strongly is your son Luca, she said she could sense it the day he was born. She said that your Son Luca will be a great man, with the strength of 5 Gods, he will love no other the way he loves Azeen, even if he chooses to not mate with Azeen and mate with another his love for her is true and real and Luca will be the protection Azeen will need. But Aine warns that if Azeen is to come into her powers that she will be the most sought after being in the world; whether to kill or to make as a mate.  Azeen has the blood of all, and has the powers of the Moon, Sun and the Stars. She is the most purest and powerful person to walk the earth. Please in No way interfere with her upbringing, it will be a hard life for her, I truly wish it wasn’t so, but this is the only way to protect her, if she is to leave Bella Luna she will be at risk from others noticing her differences and reporting to Declan and Alexander, that will be a for sure death sentence for her. Do all that you can to keep Azeen in Bella Luna. Do not tell her of our worlds and most importantly please when Luca is of age ask him to stay clear of Azeen, that even though it hurts he must allow her to be a human.

Please give my Love to my brother and Sister, and love to Avery and Aurora. We will see you all again when the time is right.

For now my dear friend I leave you with a Goodbye till the day comes I can say Hello.

P.S When Azeen comes to age she will receive an inheritance that will be enough for her to live the rest of her life comfortably, please ensure that she receives this amount. Included with this letter is a document containing all the information you should require to have her access the funds, on her 19th Birthday please give it to her, as well as the letter I have enclosed for her, hopefully this letter will ease her mind enough that she will stay within the town limits.

I put the letter back down on my father’s desk, all this information is starting to hurt my head. Azeen still has family and she can never know about it? This should be Azeen’s choice to make not ours; she should be allowed to decide what she wants.

“Father I know Isaiah has asked us not to say anything to Azeen, but it’s not right, she has family alive that love her. Also she should be allowed to make the decision on whether she wants to be human or not. To fight for what is naturally hers, take me out of the equation completely, whether she loves me or not is beyond the point. ”

“Luca I actually agree with you, which is why I want you to talk to her before she turns 19, if after all the information is given to her and she decides that she wants to remain human, or that the hate inside her is stronger than the good we will have Leader Adelrick use compulsion on her so she doesn’t remember. At which time Luca you will mark Beta Roberts daughter Kelsey and make her future Luna. You will cut all ties with Azeen so we can keep her safe.” Alpha Antonio states

“What, why would I take Kelsey on as my mate? Could I not just run the pack by myself?”

“Luca, will being unmated keep you from Azeen? Will it stop you from trying to see her? Azeen needs to still be a part of our lives, and she would always question why you never married or had children. Your bond would always still be there, so she would even though living as a human still have a pull towards you not allowing her to move on to another person. Do you want that for Azeen?” my father questions

I just shake my head knowing that he is right, “I will tell her today father while we spend the morning together at the park, she doesn’t want anyone to see what Roger and Bethany have done to her.”

“Very well, but you will spend more than a morning with her explaining everything, I will send out a quick email to have the park closed for the next 3 days, once you two arrive the gates will be shut and you guys will be locked in, we wouldn’t want anyone to hear or to interfere, we also don’t want to risk her getting away in the event that she is filled with hatred. On the eve of the 3rd day I will arrive with Leader Adelrick, he will be able to sense where she is at emotionally. I will also have Almighty Witch Sarah cast a protection spell as well as a spell around the park to make it look like work is being done and that is why it’s closed, she will also slow down time for Azeen, so that way she doesn’t notice you have been there 3 days. Gamma Michael can you make sure there is enough food and drink at the park for Azeen and Luca as well as overnight sleeping stuff?”

“Yes sir, if I can be excused now I will be able to have it all ready in the next 20 minutes, I will leave it all by the fountain.” Gamma Michael replies as he looks at me.

My father just waves his hand approving of the Gamma’s Leave.  I go to head out of the office as well when my father says, “One more thing Luca please shut the office door and sit down with Beta Robert’s and I.”   I shut the office door and take the seat Gamma Michael was sitting in “Yes Father?”                                           

“Luca I didn’t want to say anything in front of Gamma Michael, but I believe Azeen’s identity and where abouts has already been compromised. I got word 5 days ago from Alpha Erik of Forest Moon Pack  that King Alexander has been calling around to all packs, courts, dragons den and Layer’s looking to recruit as many as he can to plan an attack. King Alexander told Alpha Erik that Bella Luna is keeping something that belongs to him and he has evidence. Alpha Erik said it had to do with a girl named Azeen.  Alpha Erik is on our side as well as numerous of others but at least 7000 have joined King Alexander, I have already prepped all our warriors and amped up the training. I believe Gamma Michael maybe the one who leaked all the information to King Alexander.  This is the only reason I believe you need to tell Azeen the truth because her life is at risk.”

“Will we be safe in the gardens father, especially since Gamma Michael knows our location?”

“Yes Luca it is safe, prior to this conversation Beta Roberts had already talked to Almighty Witch Sarah, anything Gamma Michael heard and or will do for the next 40 minutes he will forget completely, and his phone is still here in the basket.” My dad’s points to the phone basket to show me, the one time I am grateful for the no phones while doing business. “Gamma Michael will be back shortly, because we still have business to attend. We will keep him in office until the spell kicks in and he forgets the morning, then we will dismiss for the day. ”

“Is there anything else father?”

“No you may go now.”

“Thank you father” I nod, “have a good Day beta Roberts” and with that I take my leave, this is going to be the hardest 3 days of my entire life……….
