Chapter 3: Part 1

POV Azeen

3 years have passed since I bought this house and property; it was the best investment and has made such a beautiful home.  I have finally after 3 years got a routine down packed, who would have thought that having a farm, at 150 acres would be such hard work? Well I’m assuming everyone but me. I had a lot to learn, but thankfully the town’s folk were really welcoming and were just happy the land was bought to be used as a farm and acreage and not development.  There is a little shop down the road about 15 minutes that is owned by a lovely couple Michelle and Louis, they have 3 darling daughters. Michelle and Louis have everything in their little shop from feed for all my animals, gardening supplies to food, both Michelle and Louis come over weekly to help me out and teach me what I need, Michelle used to come over daily just to help me get in routine, she has taught me so much. I usually go to the shop every 3rd day to get milk, and meat, but  every Sunday I head to their shop and I get what I need for the animals and then take the 3 kids to the ice cream shop just down the road.  Other then Michelle and Louis I have not made any other friends, there is a Lady by the name of Sarah that I am acquaintances with, she comes to see Michelle often, they are best friends. Sarah is a nice lady; a bit stand offish though with me. I think maybe because of my age, I’m 22 officially today! Michelle is always trying to set me up as well, telling me that I am not getting any younger and I need to find a man, I’ve gone on a few dates, but I honestly did not like any of them, I was picking away at everything. Which is weird since I have nothing to compare any of them to?

“Cluck, Cluck, Cluck” I hear

“Oh my, I'm sorry chickens, I was off in my dream land again, here you go.” I throw their feed on the ground than pour the remainder amount in their feeding tray. “I’ll be back this evening to feed you all again.”

I quickly run out their gate and lock it before any of the chickens escape, apparently this time I was to slow, because the 3 mother hens escaped. Yes I call them mother hens because they are the biggest and bossiest chickens in the coop, they are also the hardest to catch. I put my pail down and start my adventure.

“It’s only 5:30 in the morning, could you three not have done this later?” I state as I start to chase the 3 mother hens around……..

POV Luca

 It’s been 3 years since my mate died in a Rogue attack, for 3 years I have been praying to the Moon Goddess asking to find another I might love, not a mate but just another that I could love. My father tried getting me to marry Beta Roberts daughter, but I did not love her, let alone could I stand to be near her, she is the biggest snob I have ever met, and does not have a caring bone in her body, and I don’t need a Luna like that for my pack.  My dad said to give it time, but I’m 22 most Alpha’s already have kids by 22. 

We have been driving for just over 17 hours now, and my body can sure feel it, my back was throbbing. Why does King Alexander demand we have these monthly meetings in his main territory? Bella Luna is quite literally the biggest and most protected pack in the world as well is the most close for all packs and realms to come to. King Alexander’s explanation is there are too many Rogue attacks against all packs and he doesn’t want anything to do with it; He’s a great leader clearly.

My Beta Dominic is sitting behind me in the SUV holding Carmella’s hand, smiling as she is talking away. He really loves Carmella; Dominic is 21 years old, and Roberts son, Dominic deserves the beta position, he could even been an alpha he is a strong man, Carmella and Dominic found out they were mates the day of my Alpha ceremony, He had not been in Bella Luna since he was 15 because him and his brother Zachary were at Forest Moon pack helping Alpha Erik rebuild the homes for the pack, they had a massive fire 6.5 years ago caused by a single rogue who was seeking revenge for his mates death.  Zachary is my 3rd in Command and could be the beta; both Dominic and Zachary are strong warriors, Zachary is the one driving,  20 years old and is a player, he said if he finds his mate than great, but he’s not looking for her and really enjoys being able to be with as many girls as he can.  In the back 3rd row is my youngest brother Jake he is 17 now and has turned into a great warrior as well, he is not as strong as Dominic and Zachary, his wolf is smaller than most warriors but he has a fierce side that cannot be beat  and his mate and our Best female Warrior Rose is sitting beside him, she is 18, she is not your typical she-wolf, she is big and strong (bigger then Jake) but yet has a heart of gold, with the most crazy personality, she can make anyone laugh, She is a stunning hybrid, her wolf stands at 6ft with black blue fur, her eyes are a dark chocolate brown color, but when in wolf form turn to a bright gold, this is the witch in her.  I couldn’t have asked for a better mate for my brother. All 5 in this SUV are my best friends.

“Why are you stopping Zachary?” I look over and ask him

“I’m not, the car is.” He states while pointing to the hood of the car, there was smoke coming up.

“Ugh” Carmella says with a sigh; “We are only like 2 hours from home, all I want is a shower and my bed.”

We all pile out of the SUV; Zachary pops the hood and looks over to Dominic, “What do you think bro?”

“Well it would be an easy fix if I had my tools here, tops 2 hours, but I didn’t bring anything with me, plus its almost dark so I would still have to wait till morning, we are close to Rogue territory so it’s really not safe for us to be out here. Aunt Michelle gave us an update last month about the Rogues coming through here, there has been three deaths in the past 2 weeks alone from the Rogues. Alpha Louis is doing everything he can, but his pack is still small, so we need to find shelter and fast.” Dominic Says

I pull my phone out of my pocket, “I’ll call a tow company, and phone Alpha Louis and see if he can come pick us up and take us to a hotel for a night.”

I look at my phone and go to dial Alpha’s Louis’s number when I smell the most beautiful scent of strawberries and honeysuckle, then I hear a sweet voice, almost like a song.

“You won’t have cell service out here.” I turn around and see the most gorgeous woman, she was tall, but not taller than me, she had the most scrumptious body, curves in all the right places, she was muscular but not in a bad way. She had stunning Bright Silver eyes; her hair was looks to be just past her butt.  “Looks like your Rad blew up, we don’t have a tow company here in Okanagan falls, and closest one is 2 hours away. Our hotel shut down a about a year ago as well, but I have space in my house for you all to sleep, I have showers as well, and food.” She turns and points to her home, but by doing this her mmmm ever so delightful ass was shown to me, this set Tamaska off, yelling inside my head “Mate, Mate, she’s our 2nd chance mate.”

I reply back in my head, she is a human Tamaska, lay low for a bit.  Tamaska is just stirring inside me, not happy with my reply.

“There is six of us here, are you sure you are comfortable with this many strangers coming on your property?” I hear Carmella ask

“I don’t know why but I trust you all, I guess living by myself for the past few years has made me a little bit more intuitive.”

“Well my name is Carmella, this is Dominic my ah boyfriend, this is Zachary he’s a player so expect him to try and get in your pants.”

“Hey, not cool Car. Plus no offence you are definitely not my type.” I hear Zachary say and with that I let out a low growl. Carmella just shoots me a look

“This here is my brother Luca he can be a bit of a jerk, but he is a nice guy, and then we have my younger brother Jake and his girlfriend Rose.”

“I’m Azeen, and this here is Akela my….”

“WOLF” Rose says

“Well ya, when I adopted her I was told she was a husky, when I got DNA testing done at the vets 2 years ago we found out she is 100% Wolf. She is my best friend, and is gentle to those she can trust, if you are uncomfortable I’m sure my horses wouldn’t mind house guests, I can give you all blankets and pillows.”

With that we all start laughing, Tamaska is going crazy over both Azeen and Akela, I walk up to Akela and sit down and allow her to sniff me all over, Tamaska is not just going crazy now but he is communicating with Akela. Then she stops in front of my face and just starts slathering me in kisses.

“Well I believe I have passed the test, as I stand I pet Akela on the head, I bend down and whisper in her Tamaska will run with you one day”

Azeen claps her hands together as everyone is watching me. “Well it’s settled then, all of you follow me in.” She looks back at me and smiles. Carmella is at her side talking her ear off like they were long lost besties.  Rose and Jake following behind them, and Akela is already at the front door waiting. Dominic looks at me and says, “What was that about man?”

“She’s my second chance mate.”

“She’s a HUMAN!” Zachary states

“I know which is why I’m laying low; I need to get to know her, become friends with her.”

“She has a Wolf” Dominic explains

“Yes and her wolf is Tamaska’s mate, he can communicate with her.”

“How can that even be possible Luca and what kind of human finds out the have a purebred wolf and has no fear?” Dominic asks

“The beautiful one that just walked into that house, and I’m not sure how it’s possible, I will have to do some research when we get back to the pack house. Now let’s get our things and get in. I’ll ask Azeen to use her house phone when we get in to contact Alpha Louis, as well as my father.”

Dominic and Zachary both just nod their head, and start grabbing all our things from the SUV, I grab my stuff as well as the file I need to go over, I’ll catch up on it after everyone has gone to bed.  We make our way into the house, and it is just astonishing, every wolf’s dream is this house right here. We have the pack house which of course is beautiful, but this house here is the house every wolf wants’.

“Okay so I have two spare rooms, one has two double beds in it, and the second one just a queen size mattress, in my library I have a couch that pulls out into a bed as well. If you follow me I’ll show you where they are and you guys can sort out who’s sleeping where. I’m assuming none of you have eaten dinner yet so I will start preparing it.” The sweet voice of Azeen says.

“Thank you so much for your hospitality, but we can order in from a restaurant, you have already done so much for us.” I tell Azeen giving her a sincere smile.

“I love cooking its no bother for me, plus the only restaurant in Okanagan Falls closed as of 15 minutes ago. Follow me.” She replies, her eyes are just astonishing, I have never seen eyes like her’s except once but that was years ago from a girl who only lived in Bella Luna a short time.

Azeen leads us down the hall the first room we pass is her bedroom, I stop and do a quick peak, I need to see everything that has to do with her. Her room is large but not huge, she has a king size bed, a dresser and 2 end tables, her room is extremely clean. I’m tempted to go right in her room when I hear, “These two rooms right here and the library is right through this door.” I look over my shoulder and Azeen is staring right at me. “I’ll take the library you 5 can decide on the rooms. Azeen do you have a landline I can use, I need to phone the tow company to come tomorrow and grab the vehicle and see if we can’t get a loan vehicle to get us home.”

“Yes, it’s actually here in the library, I’ll show you.” Azeen says, she is studying me very closely, I wonder if she can feel the mate bond, that pull. I follow Azeen into her library, and she wasn’t joking when she said it was a library it was floor to ceiling, wall to wall of books. There was a sliding ladder attached to a vertical pole that went around the whole room in the center of the room was a couch, two end tables with lamps on either side, across from the Couch is two recliner seats with and end table in between with a hand sculpted wood lamp in the shape of a wolf, the wolf in this lamp looked exactly like Tamaska, and just off to the side of the lamp was the landline phone.

“Here is some extra blankets and two pillows for you, if it gets to cold in here please do not hesitate to move to the couch in the living room, the fireplace usually stays lit all night, we are at the starting of winter and nights are becoming colder, the heater broke in here a few months back and I just haven’t had time to fix it. Right there is the phone, and you can read any books you like, just please when done place them back in.” said Azeen. “I’m going to start prepping dinner, see you in a few.” She looks up to me with those eyes, at this very moment I want to grab and kiss her like she has never been kissed before but I know way want to scare her.

“Thank you Azeen, I will be right out.” As she turns to head out I grab her by the hand, I couldn’t help it. Instantly it felt like my world was spinning, the sensation was like nothing I have ever felt before, it’s like just her touch lit a spark inside me. At this very moment all I wanted to do was feel her body up against mine, taste her lips, touch her, and love her. She felt like home, like everything was okay as long as I was with her. I felt Alive!!

“Yes Luca?”

“I just wanted to say how absolutely amazing you have been, and I am in debited to you.”

I really just wanted to tell her that she is the one I have been searching for, but since she was human I could not rush things, she needed to get to know me. She needed to fall in love with me, and not just because of a mate bond but because she truly loves me.

“Thank you Luca.” She looks up into my eyes, “You are not in debited to me at all, I believe in Karma what goes around comes around, and with that she slipped her hand out of mine and rushed out the door. I stood for a few moments trying to gather my thoughts before I head straight for the phone and phone Alpha Louis to see what we can do about getting a tow truck and loaner car for tomorrow.

“Hey Azeen, everything okay over there?” I hear

“This is Alpha Luca; may I speak with Alpha Louis?”

“Oh I’m so sorry Alpha Luca, this is Michelle, I thought you were Azeen, I’ll get him now for you, and again I am sorry for the mix up.”  Then with that there is silence for about 2 minutes over the phone

“Alpha Louis speaking, what can I do for you Alpha Luca?”

“Well our SUV broke down, this wonderful lady Azeen is letting us stay the night, but we will need a tow and if possible a loaner car tomorrow afternoon. “

“You broke down at the right house, Azeen is a lovely girl, Michelle has taken a very strong liking to her, she’s a kind girl, we are trying to teach her though not to let strangers in, because the Rogues are ruthless and we are worried one day she will be hurt, human or not the Rogues are attacking everyone and everything. But that girl she just has a kind soul, and is always willing and ready to help those in need. If she wasn’t human I would think she was a true Dea Della Luna.”

“I definitely got that feeling as well sir.”

Our conversation continued on for another 5 minutes, we got all the details set up, I could have asked for a morning pick up, but I don’t want to leave my mate just yet, I needed to know her better. Especially since I want to call on her again once I do go back to Bella Luna.  Once done on the phone with Alpha Louis I quickly phone my father to let him know what is going on, we talked for maybe 5 minutes, once done I head out towards the kitchen and all you can hear is laughter, but the sight itself was just marvelous, Dominic, Jake, Zachary and Rose were sitting at the island counter on bar stools and Carmella and Azeen were standing beside each other chopping up food talking like they were best friends.  I’ve never seen Carmella talk like this with anyone other than Dominic.

Azeen looks up from what she is doing and gives me this smile that just melts my heart, her eyes show nothing but love, and kindness.

I don’t know how I’m going to be able to leave her tomorrow..........
