Chapter 3: Part 2

POV Azeen

I lead the group down the hall to the bedrooms, once in front of them,  I look in between the two girls Carmella and Rose to see the handsome man Luca looking in my bedroom, “These two rooms right here and the library is right through this door.”  

Luca looks up at me, our eyes meet and I get this warm feeling inside me, I feel as if I have known him my entire life, I need to watch myself carefully, this is a man I can fall quickly for.  

“I’ll take the library you 5 can decide on the rooms. Azeen do you have a landline I can use, I need to phone the tow company to come tomorrow and grab the vehicle and see if we can’t get a loan vehicle to get us home.” Luca asks

“Yes, it’s actually here in the library, I’ll show you.” I say, I study Luca very closely, hoping that he doesn’t notice.   “Here is some extra blankets and two pillows for you, if it gets to cold in here please do not hesitate to move to the couch in the living room, the fireplace usually stays lit all night, we are at the starting of winter and nights are becoming colder, the heater broke in here a few months back and I just haven’t had time to fix it. Right there is the phone, and you can read any books you like, just please when done place them back in.” I say. “I’m going to start prepping dinner, see you in a few.” I look at Luca again, his eyes are mesmerizing, they are this beautiful evergreen color, and his hair is a blue black, his haw line was perfectly sculpted, he was perfectly rugged in all the right ways.”

“Thank you Azeen, I will be right out.” Luca says

As I go to turn to head out of the room Luca grabs me by the hand.  Instantly it felt like my entire body was on fire but in a good way, like having an orgasm but without actually doing anything to get it, all I wanted to do was jump this man’s bones and I just met him. Something about him just felt so similar but at the same time so sexy.

“Yes Luca?”

“I just wanted to say how absolutely amazing you have been, and I am in debited to you.”

 “Thank you Luca.” I say as I look up into his eyes again, I couldn’t stop looking at them, they were so incredibly amazing, I’ve never met anyone with evergreen eyes, “You are not in debited to me at all, I believe in Karma what goes around comes around.” I reply and then quickly grab my hand from his and rush out the door to the kitchen. I needed to calm these hormones down before I jumped that poor man.

I get into the Kitchen and Carmella is sitting on one of the bar stools eating a cookie, she notices me and jumps up right away, and with a mouth full says, “I am so sorry, these just looked so goooood.”

“Well are they?”

“Girl these are the best I have ever had. By the way your house is fabulous!”

“I’m glad you like them, eat as many as you want, and that is the first time anyone has ever explained my house as fabulous. I like it!!” We both start to giggle.

“So what’s up with your brother Luca? Does he have a girlfriend?”

“Luca can come off as a jerk, but he really isn’t, he is actually one of the smartest most caring people I know, and I’m not saying that because he is my brother. He doesn’t have a girlfriend, he use to a long time ago, but she died in a Rog….. Accident, before any of us could meet her.”

“Oh I’m so sorry to hear that.”

“What about you, where’s your boyfriend?”

“I don’t have one, I’ve been on a few dates, but no one has ever really interested me enough to pursue a second date.”

“Really?” Carmella says with a puzzled look “You’re so beautiful, you would think you would have a boyfriend.”

“There is more to it than just looks you know that right?” I say while laughing

“Well ya, oh insert foot in my mouth here please.” Carmella replied

Now we are both laughing “What are you to laughing at?” Dominic says as he hops up on a bar stool, Carmella leans over the counter and gives him a quick peck on the lips.

“Never you mind Dom, it’s between us girls.” Carmella says as she points back and forth between her and I. Just then Zachary, Jake and Rose walk in and seat themselves on the barstools as well.

“This is a really cool place you have Azeen, how long have you lived here for?” Zachary asks

“Just over 3 years now.” I turn to the fridge and grab out the carrots, potatoes, cucumber, romaine lettuce, lemon, and bacon and place them on the island counter in front of Carmella, than I grab 2 cutting boards and 2 knives place one set in front of Carmella and one set down for me.  Carmella right away got to cutting up the carrots, I could see us being friends, I don’t have many but this girl I could. She was funny, smart, incredibly beautiful and so down to earth.  I grab out the big pan and place it on the stove so I can cook the bacon.

“I hope you all like Caesar salad, Roast, and mash potatoes.”

“is the roast what I have been smelling Azeen?” Rose asks

“It is, it’s been in the smoker and should be ready in about an hour.”

“It smells delish.” Rose Says “Want my help?”

“No Rose I think we are fine,” Carmella replies “Why don’t you and Jake go check out the property?” She gives a look to both, that has me confused but, Jake is her younger brother so maybe she is just tired of them.

We all chat away, and I learn so much about all of them, it sincerely feels like they are my family, but I just met them. This is a group of people I want to keep in my life. They are so fun, all of them, including Luca.

I look up from slicing cucumbers and see Luca giving me the sweetest look, did I mention that his smell is so intoxicating, I can’t believe how much it turns me on, I muster up enough to give him a smile not wanting to let it known that all I want to do is rip his clothes off and ride him till the sun comes up.

Jake and Rose stand up, “Do you mind Azeen if we check out your property, we have been sitting for 17 hours in car and could use a good run. “ Rose asks

“Ya, sure the entire property has been fenced off, just be careful there has been a few wolf sightings, not Akela but others and they tend to walk the property line, thankfully the fence keeps them out.” I warn them

“Zachary you want to come?” I hear Jake ask as I’m throwing all the potatoes into a pot.

“Sure man lets go.”

They head out the back door, and Akela comes running in just about knocking Zachary to the ground. “Whoa girl, what’s the rush?” he says

Carmella and I just start laughing.  Akela comes up to me in the kitchen, “She loves her bacon and knows when it is being cooked.” I look down at Akela and hand her a piece, “This is all you get right now, and we have guests have some manors. Carmella bursts into laughter again, walks around the counters and grabs Dominic by the arms, “We should go for a run as well, it would be good to stretch.”

Dominic follows her, no questions asked, you can see the love radiate off them, I hope one day to be as lucky as them.

“Do you mind Azeen?” Carmella breaks my train of thought

“Go for it, everything is prepped and ready to go, plus if I need a hand I’ll get Luca to help, unless you want to go for a run as well?”

“I’m good to stay in while they take a run.  Hey Dominic before you head out, the tow will be here tomorrow afternoon and your Aunty Michelle and Uncle Louis will get us a loaner car just shortly after. They said no later than 4 tomorrow for everything, so I was thinking while we are here maybe you can take a look at the heater in the library and see if you can fix it for Azeen since she has been so generous with us. I hope you don’t mind Azeen?”

Dominic nods his head as Carmella drags him out the door, “I really don’t mind, I’m enjoying the company.  You probably think that I am crazy right now, letting six strangers in the house.  Did you just say Aunty Michelle and Uncle Louis by chance?”

“I did, they are Dominic and Zachary’s Aunty and Uncle? Why do you ask?”

“Michelle and Louis are like family to me, they helped me with the property, taught me everything I needed to know about farming. I love them like they were my mom and dad.”

“Dinner will be about 30 minutes still, want something to drink? I have beer, water, wine, whiskey and Vodka.”

“Sure you got Ice?”

“I thought you might want this.” I hand Luca a whiskey on the rocks, and motion towards the living room.

Luca takes a seat on the couch, and I decide to sit next to him, I cross my legs in front of me and turn my body enough that I am facing him; He fixes his body the same way, we are now just staring at each other, both of us scanning each other up and down.  “So Azeen, do you live alone?”

“I do live alone, I have really most of my life, I was placed in foster home after foster home after my parents passed away when I was 2.”

“I’m so sorry to hear that Azeen, that doesn’t sound like it was a fun life, but you sure are making it the best I see. Do you work?”

“Honestly, I don’t my parents left me a lot of money when they passed away, so when I became legal age at 19 I bought this house and land and have not looked back since. I do spend as much time as I can volunteering at our local rescue as well as at the hospital in Bella Luna.”

“You have been to Bella Luna; I have never seen you before?”

“I’m not there as often as I like, I volunteer on the senior floor once a month and every two months I volunteer on the children’s floor. What do you do for a living?”

 “I am the Mayor of Bella Luna, I don’t volunteer as much as I would like to but my job keeps me fairly busy.”

“The Mayor, that is a big responsibility to have, the town must love you, I know I would.” Oh god, why did I just say that.

Luca looks at me, and then reaches his hand to my face. The tingles, the fire it’s all back, I’m acting like a sleaze. I need to contain myself, please someone walk through that door or I’m going to do something I am going to regret. Nope no one is walking in, oh he’s leaning into me, I can’t stop this from happening, my body wants it, my heart wants it…………. 

POV Carmella

“We should go for a run as well; it would be good to stretch.” I say to Dominic

Dominic stands and follows me to the back door, he knows that I am wanting to give my big brother and Azeen some alone time, I have only known her a short time but it feels like I have known her a life time, and after Dominic told me that she was Luca’s mate, I had no doubts that she would make not only a great Luna for our pack one day, but a great companion for my brother. She was strong, kind hearted, a great cook, and so easy to talk to you.  I want my brother to feel the same kind of love and happiness that I have with Dominic.

“Do you mind Azeen?”  I ask, totally bringing her out of her trance on Luca, I am doing my best not to laugh because it is very noticeable that she had feelings for Luca as well, even if we all just met.

“Go for it, everything is prepped and ready to go, plus if I need a hand I’ll get Luca to help, unless you want to go for a run as well?” Azeen Replies.

“I’m good to stay in while they take a run.  Hey Dominic before you head out, the tow will be here tomorrow afternoon and your Aunty Michelle and Uncle Louis will get us a loaner car just shortly after. Dominic nods his head, and I drag him right out the door, we need to be a bit further before we can shift into our wolf form, we don’t want to scare Azeen in anyway, even though she doesn’t seem to bothered by wolves. I take off in a sprint, daring Dominic to chase me. We are about 100 ft away from the house when we jump into our shift, and Blue my wolf is ready to go, it’s been 17 hours since she last ran, Blue doesn’t like being cooped up that long.

As I’m running Canyon Dominic’s wolf cuts me off and I hear him say “STOP, quiet NOW!!”

Blue automatically listens and doesn’t say at word. Then we hear Zachary over mind link “Rogues, they are on the property, but for some reason they are sticking strictly to about 100ft from the fence line, they can smell us.”

Then Rose pipes up “There is protection spells on the majority of this property, I felt it the moment the SUV died, I don’t think Azeen knows anything well at least I did not sense magic on her.”

“That’s good, keep yourselves strictly along where the protection spell is, Rose please leave marks along as you walk so Carmella and I can follow.” Dominic says

“I’ll keep Azeen busy, please do your best to avoid any fighting, but also get them away from here, how did they get over the fence.” I hear Luca say

“Azeen said she has lived here for 3 years, which means the protection spell that was placed on the property is probably starting to wear down, she most likely has charms in the house and doesn’t even know it. I’ll have to contact my mom and see if she knows who’s magic was used so we can figure out why, and place another one down.” Rose states

“How many Rogues do you guys see?” I hear Luca ask again            

Zachary pipes up “I have at least 10 here on the south side of the property.”

“Same here on the west end” Jake replies

“I can sense at least 10 as well on the east side” Dominic replies as well

“Luca, something is wrong, this protection spell is decreasing as we speak, we are being pushed in, and surrounded, I think someone is helping to break this spell, but I don’t know who.” Rose is starting to sound worried. “I will have to shift back into human form, but I might be able to hold the line where it is now.”

“Do what you guys can, Dominic can you mind link your Uncle? I’m unable to because I am not part of his pack, but because you are family you should be able to, especially since you are on his packs land. Tell him what is going on and request help”

“Yes Luca” Dominic replies

“Report back to me in 15 minutes”

I can’t help but think how can this poor girl be living on her own, it’s definitely not safe for her to be out here alone. These Rogues have proven to be ruthless in their killings, they didn’t care whether you are human or wolf, if they want your land they come and take it.  All of a sudden I feel a nudge on my side, I look over and Akela is standing next to me. She bows her head in request to allow me to mind link her. The only way I can do that is by blood oath and becoming soul connected.  I look over at Dominic and he nods his head while linking me “She may have information we need to help out. Luca is the only one who can communicate with her and he needs to keep Azeen busy.”

I shift quickly back into human for, I look at her and then grab this rock with a sharp edge to it and cut my hand, she then raises her paw to her mouth and bites drawing blood,  I place my hand over her paw allowing our blood to connect,  I slowly start to say the Soul Chant

I am soft, but I am not weak, I am Kind

But I am not blind; I have strength you may not see…

I listen to my spirit, I follow my truth, I love my own harmony

I know who I am; Right now I need my friend’s soul with me,

I call Akela to me, Let the chains fall, and be free

I call on thee, so Mote it be!!

I let go of Akela’s paw, and shift back in my wolf blue.

“Hello old friend, it’s been a long time since we last spoke, I do not have time to explain, but Luca need’s to Kiss Azeen, but he can’t be told to do it, he has to do it on his own free will, he needs to feel and so does she, I will get to the reason why later. For now we need to tear these Rogues apart!”

Did she just call me old friend, what the heck? What is going on here?

“We need to fight prepare yourselves, Jake protect Rose. Zachary are you okay on your own?”

“I will join him.” Akela says, and with that she was off, she was a majestic wolf. “Zachary Akela is on her way to you; do not cross the line until she is at your side.”

“NOW” Dominic says, and with that command we crossed the line and the fight began!
