Chapter 3: Part 3                             

POV Luca

“Do what you guys can; Dominic can you mind link your Uncle? I’m unable to because I am not part of his pack, but because you are family you should be able to, especially since you are on his packs land. Tell him what is going on and request help”

“Yes Luca” Dominic replies

“Report back to me in 15 minutes” I say,  Azeen is sitting there, just watching me, the way she is sitting on the couch makes me want to just grab her and pull her in my arms to protect her, there is a fight about to start and she doesn’t even know it.   I have to keep her distracted long enough for the threat of the Rogues to disappear, I feel horrible that she is even in this mess, the Rogues probably caught our scent and that is the only reason they are here. This is my entire fault, and now Azeen could be in danger. I should be out there fighting alongside my family, my pack and Louis’ pack, but instead I am in here, but I know I have to protect Azeen.

“Luca, Akela has joined us in the fight and Alpha Louis will be here with his warriors shortly, we need to start fighting back, please keep Azeen occupied do not under any circumstance allow her out, protect our  future Luna.” I hear Carmella over mind link

I look at Azeen and in that very moment our eyes connect to each other, I reach my hand to her beautiful face. I cup her cheek in the palm of my hand and she doesn’t pull back or hesitate, she leans her head sideways and rests her cheek completely in my hand. The spark is so intense that I can’t pull away from her; I need her, not just as my mate, but my wife, my love and my soul. I need her to complete me, she is my other half, there has never been another and there will never be another that makes me feel the way Azeen does, and in such a short time. She is what I want! I lean in towards her, our lips gently touch, and it’s like the entire world faded away, I put my arms around her waist and pull her into me, deepening the kiss, she puts her arms around my neck, she moves her body so she is on top of me, one leg on either side, her tongue enters my mouth, she is craving me, just as I am her. I smelt her Arousal before but now it’s clear she wants me just as bad as I want her.  As we are kissing, I’m starting to feel as if my world is spinning in circles at a fast pace, I open my eyes and I am no longer in Azeen’s’ living room, I’m in Whispering Pines Forest, I know this only because I have been here before, but I can’t seem to recall when or why.

“Oh my Goddess” Azeen says and she jumps up off me “What is going on?”

“My child please calm your voice” we both look up and Moon Goddess Selene is standing right in front of us.

“Why am I back here, why do I remember everything and why am I not human anymore?”

I look at Azeen a bit confused on what she is talking about.

“Moon Goddess, please explain to me what is going on? Why is Luca here?”

“My sweet Dea Della Luna, you had to know deep inside that this day would come….”

“Hey can someone be so kind to maybe explain to me, what is going on. Azeen you have magic? Why are we here?”   Before I could say anymore Azeen waves her hand in front of me and I fall into a sleep……..

POV Azeen

“Now child why did you put him to sleep?” Moon Goddess asks me, her tone slightly irritated  

“Because he has absolutely no recollection of anything as of yet, but I do and I would really like to know why. This was not part of the plan.”

“Azeen, we need to talk and we do not have long. Your friends are in grave danger; the Rogues at this very moment are attacking them on your property. The moment you offered your home to Luca and the others, every protection spell you placed with Sarah started disappearing, allowing the Rogues and High command Elijah to find you, your scent and Akela’s scent are all over the property.  At first Elijah my dear couldn’t place who you were, but when Luca grabbed your hand the cloaking spell placed on you by me to hide your true self was revealed, those of strong powers got their memories back first. You knew the minute you kissed Luca, but your mate bond was strong in that moment, your thoughts were not forming the way that they should have, that is why I brought you here. Luca should have his all his memories back now too, I under estimated that bond that you two had, please wake him.”

“I can’t, I really can’t he hates me, I hurt him so bad, I rejected him. Oh Moon Goddess, can you not fix this? What have I done?” the tears just start falling from my eyes.

“Wake him Azeen.”

“I really can’t, I rejected him, I will feel all that pain again, so will he, it will feel like I just rejected him. You told me you would give him a second chance mate, he was not suppose to suffer. Now he will, and I will, please don’t ask me to do this.”

“Azeen, I am not the one who did this, Luca’s and your mate bond is stronger then I knew, it’s strong enough to break all magic, you have not just an epic love, you have a true deep love and connection. No matter what I was to do you and Luca were fated together for life, I can’t break that bond.  Azeen my child, I know why you wanted to do this, but you will need to face what is about to happen, if you don’t return Azeen, innocent people will die. You can make the decision to continue on as if you were human, but a lot of people will die, you have the power inside you, while yes it is technically sleeping, you can awake it, just as you and Luca have done with your mate bond.”

“Then you save them, you’re the moon goddess are you not?”

“I am not allowed to interfere with life on earth, I can help mates find each other, but I don’t create that bond, I can help place peace in a heart but I cannot interfere in anyway. All my children are free to make the choices they make, and they also need to face the consequences of their actions. Now Azeen, I know you are hurt, but you need to wake Luca and you need to return to Okanagan Falls and help them. This fight is the beginning of a war and you will need to take part in it, after the war ends, then you can choose to live as a human, but your powers will never go away completely they will always be asleep.”

I’m so lost right now, everything is ruined, I have now placed Luca in danger the man that I love but also hurt, my best friend is fighting and she shouldn’t be. They are all after me!

I wave my hand over Luca, “Awake now my love.”  I turn away from him, and as he awakes this gut wrenching pain shoots through my body, every part of me feels like it being ripped into tiny pieces. Then I feel two hands around my waist, it causes warmth, but I can still feel the pain.

“Azeen, we have a family to save, you and I can talk later, but for now you need to calm your nerves, right now my family and Akela need us. So stop your pity party, get over it and get us home NOW!” Luca says but with such force in voice, he was using his Alpha on me, I could not hear the love like I use to.

“Child you are the guardian, you are stronger then you realize.” The moon goddess says “Blessed be my children, may you all be safe.”

I didn’t wait to hear if she had anything else to say, she was the Moon Goddess but couldn’t stop what was going on.  I was angry, I was angry with moon goddess for allowing this to happen, for taking my life away from me, for making me chose, and I was angry with myself for hurting my loved ones, for turning my back on them.

I waved my hand and both Luca and I were back in my kitchen, I look at him and the hurt in his eyes are unavoidable, “We don’t have time for small chit chat, we need to help our family.” Luca says. But before I could get out the door, Carmella rushed in, Dominic behind her, Akela following but with Zachary on her back, and Rose and Jake come in last, Rose slamming the door shut.   “We are under full attack, Alpha Louis is not on our side, his pack members and him they turned on us, and they are out to kill.” Rose says

I don’t say anything, hoping that they did not get their full memories back.  Carmella looks at me, “We need to talk Azeen, but it will have to wait, they are not after us at all, they want you.”  She too has sadness in her eyes

“What do you mean they are after Azeen?” Rose asks Rose was still young so she would not have known me, or even heard about me, there was no memories for her to remember. She walks up to me and places her hand in front of my face. “Show thy true powers, show them now, let them awake fully in this hour.”

I look at her and my hair turn’s from black to white and my silver eyes turn bright silver. The tips of my fingers let off a blue sparkle light, almost like smoke but with a shimmer.  Jake and Rose both gasp “You are a Guardian?” Rose questions

“I am” I reply back

“But why did you hide it, why did you put your magic to sleep?”

“I….” Luca cuts me off, his tone is so cold that it sends shivers down my spine “She wanted to be human; we don’t have time for this.”

“Yes Alpha” Rose bows her head and walks over to Jake, but she kept looking at me, watching me, waiting to see what my next move would be.

  I look over at Carmella, being Soul connected means that she can feel what I do, think what I do and be where I am, when Rose requested my powers to come forward that connection was relit.

“Akela come here.” I say

Akela looks at me, then moves her head to show that Zachary was still on her back wounded; Luca getting the point Akela was making walks over and picks up Zachary and places him on the couch, “He will be fine” I tell them all.

My beautiful majestic wolf walks over to me, I bend down and pat Akela on the head and mind link her, “you have been such a loyal friend to me, you will not be joining me on this next part of my life, please watch over every one. I love you girl!”

I start walking towards the door I know exactly what I have to do, I quietly say:

Regret of mine, running through my mind

This moment I leave the past behind

Now leave my mind

No more to bind

I release you

I release me

By Sky, stars, sun and moon

This regret leaves real soon

By candlelight, I now clear the space

The open spot Goddess fills with grace.

 I look over at Luca, “I’m sorry for everything, please I hope you will forgive me one day.”

I can hear all the wolves, in particular Louis’ voice. “Azeen freely come out and we will not harm those with you, make us come in and we will kill all of you.”

“Azeen do not listen to him, please for once trust me.” I feel Luca’s hand on my right hand; I can feel his eyes staring into my soul.

“Luca he will not harm you, or anyone else, I know what I must do. I will not turn evil, they will either kill me or keep me locked up in hopes that I will break. I won’t ever break.”

Luca grabs me completely and twists me around to where I am facing him, he was not gentle, “Azeen I know you think you have to do this alone, that you are the cause of the war that is brewing, but you never have been. Whether you like it or not we are your pack, you fight, we fight. I don’t understand why you chose to be human, why you thought it was the only way to protect us; I certainly don’t understand why you chose to leave me, your mate. But in this moment as Alpha and as your friend we are all in this together, and we will fight till we can no longer fight.  You need to trust me!”

“Luca is right Azeen, whether you go with the traitor or not, we will still have to fight, the wolves are out for blood, and that is our blood. They want all of us, whether you want to believe it or not.” Dominic states.

“Let us help” Rose adds in

“Fine, but I really don’t want anyone hurt, so the minute we are clear out of here, and in safety I am leaving, I will go with Louis or whoever I need to in order to make this all stop. No more innocent people hurt and no more deaths.”  I wave my left hand

“Light the fire that I command, light the fire with this hand!"

A blue fire encircled around all 8 of us, the fire was not hot, but if anyone who was not in the room with us currently would try to pass through it they surely would die instantly, I then begin to chant:

Craft the Spell in the Fire; Weave it will; weave it higher.

Weave it now of shinning Flame; none shall come to hurt or maim.

None shall pass this fiery wall; none shall pass, No! None at all!

I’m about to start saying it again when Carmella grabs my left hand and Rose takes my right hand, they begin to chant with me;

Craft the Spell in the Fire; Weave it will; weave it higher.

Weave it now of shinning Flame; none shall come to hurt or maim.

None shall pass this fiery wall; none shall pass, No! None at all!

We said this chant one more time adding in “We do this through the power of three, we do this so we can be free, we do this now, so here our call, what is said cannot be brought to fall, so mote it be!” 

The flames of the fire turn from blue to white, showing us that we are protected.

“Azeen, you trust me I am your Aunty Michelle’s mate. No harm will come to those inside, as long as you come with me. The entire house has been circled, you may be strong but not strong enough, we will wear you down.”

I look over at Rose, “Rose does Bella Luna still have the protection spell around it? Any Rogue attacks in the city in the last 3 years?” I ask

“Yes my mom once a year has me come with her to re-seal them, she said that they start fading so she needs to revive them, and no Rogue attacks inside the city at all.” Rose replies

“Perfect, Rose mind link your mother and tell her to be at the Moon Goddess Park in 15 minutes.”

“Luca phone your parents and get them to get everyone to your pack house and make sure that all the children and women are safe, get your warriors ready. Tell your dad once that is done to get your mother and himself to the park as quick as possible. Do not question me, you want me to trust you, show me that I can trust you.” I look at Luca

“Cousin Dominic, mind link your dad tell him to meet us along with Leader Adelrick at the moon goddess park, tell him 15 minutes as well, make sure you tell him to bring my grandmother and grandfather.”Dominic just nods his head at me knowing that he cannot argue.

“Akela, Carmella I need both your help with Zachary.”

I bend down in front of him; he has been cut pretty badly across his chest, as well as a nasty wound mark in his leg which looks to have been done by a dagger. I look over at Akela, I need her in human form, I close my eyes and see this beautiful young lady, and she has long blond hair and bright blue eyes. When I open my eyes Akela is now a woman, standing naked in front of everyone.  Jake does a quick look then turns his head away and says “UMMM I think you need something on”

“Oh s**t…” Akela says as she looks down at herself, “I’ll be right back Azeen.” She runs to my room to grab clothing.

“How did you do that Azeen?” Carmella asks

“When I adopted Akela the husky 3 years ago, Sarah and I one night were fixing up my library, Akela came in and was able to mind link us, she was a werewolf, but she was born as a pup, not as a human baby and was unable to shift to a human form, she was left to fend for herself, which is how she ended up at the rescue, her birth parents were omega’s and didn’t want the added stress of a weakling pup.  That is when Akela, Sarah and myself decided how to make my wolf Akela to live on, we were able to place Akela’s soul into this were wolfs body, when moon goddess put my powers to sleep, Akela was transferred over. Because of Akela’s powers this would allow Akela to shift into human form or werewolf, it also allows her to be in either form, the were wolf that Akela had gone into agreed with all this, and now that Akela has taken human for she will allow the werewolf to be a wolf again, her name is Snow. I hope this all makes sense.” I explain

“It does but it doesn’t, so Akela is no longer your wolf, so you no longer have one?” Carmella asks

“She is no longer my wolf, but is my sister. Like how you and Luca are twins, Akela is the same as me. I can still shift into a wolf, but I know longer have the wolf soul attached, it will just be me.”

As I’m explaining, Akela comes back out of the room fully clothed, “Thank you Azeen, for helping me shift so it was painless.” She looks at me with a smile

She bends over Zachary, and places her hands on his chest, the rogues that we fought with has sliver on their claws, and I believe the dagger as well was dipped in silver.”

“Carmella can you hold Zachary’s legs?” I ask

Carmella moves down to Zachary’s legs while I place my hand over the stab wound

“You ready to save you mate Akela?”

Akela nods her head

We both close our eyes, and start humming at tune, a blue mist appears through my hands, and a purple mist through Akela’s. I can feel the wound healing, but what we are doing will only hold Zachary over until Elsie is able to give him something for the Silver. I can heal but I have no way healing when the person in near death. Zachary’s heart beat is there but it is faint, so we need to hurry.

I open my eyes and place my hands over Akela’s “We need to go, we have his heart beat back. Elsie will have to do the rest.”

Akela looks at me and the pain in her eyes, hurts me. She can feel everything that Zachary is, just like I can with Luca. Carmella lets go of Zachary’s legs. “So Zachary is your mate Akela? How does that work since you were Luca’s, he could feel it?”

“As soon as I shifted into my human form, the mate bond that Luca thought he could feel changed. I never felt the mate bond with Luca, from the moment he stepped on this property, it felt more like a brother bond, which was weird because I still had all my memories, they were never wiped from me and Luca was my mate. But I guess once I soul shifted over to Snow so did my mate.”

“Okay everyone enough chit chat, we need to make a plan on how to get out of here.” Luca says, again is tone is cold and directed at me. 

“I know what we are doing next, we don’t need to make a plan, and did everyone get a hold of who I asked you to?” I said, my voice came off a bit to strong willed, but I needed Luca to understand, that while yes we were both working together I was still in control of everything.

“Yes!” They all said

“Perfect, now everyone gather around Zachary, place your hands on him; it’s time we all go home.” Luca is standing beside me, our sides touching, sparks are flying through my body and most likely his as well, he looks at me in the eyes, “It’s time we all go home.” He puts his hand over mine; I close my eyes and imagine Moon Goddess Park, the leaves of the Magnolia tree would be yellow, and they would have already started to fall, the air crisp, all signs that autumn was gone and winter was upon us. I imagine the fountains water would be still, and the water falls quiet. A breeze through the willow trees, and the scent of pine. The bears would be sleeping in their dens, and the deer would be playing as hunting season was over for the humans.

When I open my eyes we are all in the center of Moon Goddess Park in front of the fountain, and everyone was here. A look of surprise fell on everyone’s face when they saw me, except for Elsie and Antonio, their face was of disapproval. They too knew why I had left; they read the letter from my father to me. Though they could never tell their children, they knew that the only way to save and protect not just them but everyone else, I needed to be out of the picture.

“Okay so you are probably all wondering why I asked you to meet us here, and probably trying to figure out what is going on. Before I get into all of that, Elsie did you bring your medical bag, Zachary was wounded with silver, Akela and I were able to heal him a bit to keep his heart going but the silver is strong and will need proper medical care.”

Elsie walks over to me and leans in so she could whisper in my ear “You may be back right now, but you know that you can’t stay. Do what you can to stay clear of Luca, state your business and leave at the earliest moment.”

Elsie walks over to Zachary and starts giving him medical care. I just look at her, I know she is right. I will have to take my exit soon. I cannot stay in Bella Luna.

“Everyone” I clasp my hands together, they all look at me and start to gather around. “So where do I begin……………….”
